Not Compatible With One Spot (9 Volt)

By Scott Porter

from SF Bay Area

Comments about Nady MGT 16 UHF Wireless Instrument System:

Nady wireless is exactly like Samson, but is NOT compatible with One Spot power supply. If you plan to put this on a pedal board, you will need to use the supplied transformer. It is a 10 volt system, and cannot use generic power.

Great Idea, BUT...

By Lawrence Antinozzi

from Dallas, Texas

Comments about Nady MGT 16 UHF Wireless Instrument System:

Thought it would work out great; small receiver, "bug" transmitter, but there's noise every time a note is playing that's the same volume regardless of the instrument volume.
I returned it and got a Sennheiser for $50 more.

Too Much Noise!

By Lawrence Antinozzi

from Dallas, Texas

Comments about Nady MGT 16 UHF Wireless Instrument System:

Thought it was a geat idea but whenever you're playing there's a hiss in the background that stays at the same level regardless of the volume level of the instrument. Mine's going back!
Same as any.

Pleasant surprise

By ejbpesca

from Alabama

Comments about Nady MGT 16 UHF Wireless Instrument System:

This is my first wireless system. After seeing very high priced ones and low ratings on very inexpensive systems I chose the Nady. I was very pleased to find it sounds as if my guitar is plugged into my PA for acoustic and my amp for my Strat. It was great fun to put some canned music through the PA, plug in the little transmitter to my Strat and walk around the audience at a chili cook off event playing smooth blues licks to a loop of a basic three chord blues tune. Some older folks in the audience were very entertained not just by the playing but the fact I would walk up to their table and play while the sound came from 100 ft. away.It did cut out on me a couple of times but I realized I was blocking a direct path to the rabbit ears receiver. For a very small show like mine this is too much fun and only time will tell if it holds up to usage. For now, its great.

Didn't even make it two months

By bodhijames

from Midwest

Comments about Nady MGT 16 UHF Wireless Instrument System:

I purchased this wireless unit strictly for my use in my teaching studio. I had finally had enough of running over my guitar cable with my desk chair. So I decided to go wireless. I never had any intention on using this on stage, and after receiving the unit, that thought was confirmed. Keep in mind I "babied" the ting in my studio, it never left the house, and after only 5 weeks the antenna cable developed a break. I tried everything to get it to work, but have finally given up.Save yourself time and $$$, especially if you plan on using this onstage!

I really wanted to like this..

By TommyTomcat

from Dallas TX

Comments about Nady MGT 16 UHF Wireless Instrument System:

When I saw the Nady MGT16 on sale I jumped on it. I wanted the stomp box sized receiver and the bug type transmitter. No 9v batteries, giddie up! The sound quality just isn't there. Using the wall wart on the receiver and a fresh alkiline battery in the transmitter.. turning the unit up all the way is the only way to approach the volume of a guitar cord. The tone is still thin and uneven and there's a light digital fuzz layer when the receiver's pot is maxed.. After a gig last night, my bass player asked why I switched to the cord after the first set. I told him about the tone being thin.. and he said, "yea, I noticed that". Very disappointing. I'm sending it back.

great wireless

By Neilslinger

from Long Island, NY

Comments about Nady MGT 16 UHF Wireless Instrument System:

Just want to say this is a cool unit, sounds great and is simple to use. Changing freq.'s would be a breeze if needd, as I travel to out-of-town gigs but so far I haven't had to change channels because its' on the TV-free 900MHz band. Also it's so small I don't even notice it plugged into my Les Paul.

Handy mini wireless

By bradguitar

from Los Angeles

Comments about Nady MGT 16 UHF Wireless Instrument System:

I love this unit. The transmitter just plugs into my strat and now I'm really cordless. The performance is better than any wireless I've owned before and I love the cool IR download feature making channel selection setup a breeze. I higly recommend this to anyone wanting to simplify their wireless guitar rig, as I did.
