I bought these speakers 8 or 9 years ago and only had one issue after about 2 years. One horn went out. I called Nady customer service and they asked me to remove the horn and ship it to them. 2 weeks later, I had a new horn. Since then, these speakers have worked very well. I bought the system for home use (I throw a ton of parties) and of course that lead to doing DJ gigs for friends and their friends. Over the years I have done maybe 18 or 20 gigs, use them in my "Man-Cave" regularly and also do back yard movie nights with a screen and power point projector. I run a 900 watt amp, mixer and an IPod or other mp3 player when not hooked up to my laptop. Hard to beat for the price!

Ok I had owned these cabs. for about 3 years. I am not a rookie sound guy or musician. They peformed well for that time. The only problems I have had with these were after a wanna be rock star thought it would be cool to cover the mic with his hands and scream into the mic distorting the Horns. Well he managed to blow a crossover for me. Thats right I said crossover! Most of you might not know this, but a TRUE PIEZO driver does not reguire a crossover. They are designed to only work at certain freq's. These drivers in these are JUNK! So are the crossovers for that fact. I took one of the drivers and the crossover to a high end shop in town that do fantastic live sound repairs, and they have never seen one of these ever aswell. I bought TRUE PEIZO drivers for replacements and rewired everything taking the crossover completely out of the inclosures. Yea! Now we have something. So bottom line. Spend a little more and buy real Piezo drivers, Rewire the whole cab., and then you have a pretty decent cab for the money. Customer service at NADY sucks! Bottom line! They are a joke to deal with. Don't waste your time. Do above mod after you blow your crossover, and then you will have a really decent cab. But like I said before they did serve me well until a rookie acted like rock star. I would only put 250watts to each of them. 500 watts is peak power! Meaning they will more than likly blow at 500. Divide 500 by 2 you get 250, That worked well for me. The crossovers will be the first to go!

be patient and save up money for better quality

Comments about Nady PS115 15" 500W 2-Way Full Range Speaker:

I've replaced the drivers and crossovers more times than I would care to admit. My advice, like several others, is to buy a quality crossover and driver. Don't even mess with nady's replacement components, they're junk. Never had any issues with the woofer. Cabinet is decent construction. Bottom line, by the time you invest in better components for this cab, you will have been better off spending the money on something with better quality materials.

CRAP!!!! Both horns blew a few hours after I started using them, had to re-wire due to the lame(very thin wires)inside.I have since replaced horns with other tweeters, replaced cross-overs inside and use them at home for my 100 watt home stereo just for added bass. The only good thing is the woofers.

Lots of bang for the buck

      By Anonymous

Comments about Nady PS115 15" 500W 2-Way Full Range Speaker:

I've been owning a pair of these for ~4 years & have been completely satisfied with how they sound compared to how much they cost. It's in a rectangular box & not a trapazoid one - so it's bigger and has more bottom end. Because of this, it matches up well with a fairly low powered amp. I run a powered mixer with 250 watts to each cabinet and it sounds more full than when I've run the same mixer on my Peavey SP2's (Of course I was undepowering the SP2's)! These Nady PS115's get lots of sound out little power. Keep in mind, my whole rational here is these cabinets' "bang for the buck," so no one go and accuse me of thinking these are the best speakers -- keep it in perspective.

Comments about Nady PS115 15" 500W 2-Way Full Range Speaker:

I have owned a pair of these Nady PS115 for some time. They are rated @ 500 watts, meaning max power of 500. Really, they are supposed to be run @ 250 watts at 8 ohms. I did, and sometimes live would run @ either 275 or 300 watts with out damage. Best @ 250. Puts out good sound; the highs, had to tweak the EQ somewhat, but turned out fine. Used them in small clubs, outdoor events, did fine. They are fine for the working musicians on a budget. Just run them between 250-300 watts, and watch the volume when going higher than 250. BTW, I also own the PTS 115, the one with the 12" speaker. Use that for front of stage monitor. Run 200 watts @ 8ohms for that one; works just great. Get these speakers; good deal @ a good price!

      Bad Soldering Job

      By DJOracle

Comments about Nady PS115 15" 500W 2-Way Full Range Speaker:

This speaker is not to bad, until something goes wrong. These are not the most well-crafted full-range speakers. Both the Horn and woofer completely stopped working. Why? Well there was a bad soldering job connecting the wires to the driver itself, and eventually a wire fell off. The woofer? Well, it had to do with a loose component.

Comments about Nady PS115 15" 500W 2-Way Full Range Speaker:

Bought a pair in June. With all the other equipment we run, it wasn't until October that I noticed one of the horns had given up. Took them home, used them around the house at low volume and the other horn gave out shortly thereafter. What really bothers me is that I've yet to get a reply from Nady to my emails. My advice: buy something else
