There aren't a lot of features on these subs. The handles on the side are pretty sturdy but can't be lifted by one person. The weight is not an issue, but the size of the subwoofer doesn't make it easy for a single person to lift and carry them. I did install wheels on each sub so I could stand them up vertically and roll them. Then you can lift them from the top with the handle pretty easy into your trailer. Hint: Install the wheels on opposite ends so you can push them together if necessary. 400 watts RMS is pretty good, especially running two of them. The angled interior creates a hard hitting sweet spot, especially then they are stacked. I've never had the angled speaker like that, but it's great for a dance floor.
For the price, the quality is outstanding. Solid construction, corner guards, two types of connectors. I did notice some of the carpet was coming off the bottom of one of them, but that could have been my fault moving it before I installed wheels. Some spray glue, and bam!...like new again. I set them up in my house and they were vibrating the dishes in the cabinets, the windows, my gutters...these things hit really hard. I was tweaking my EQ and when my son and his friends were playing A Milli my vision would go blurry when they would hit a long bass note (not lying). Those kids couldn't believe how powerful they were. I push them with an SHS 2500 amp in stereo mode, just to give you an idea.
Originally, I was only going to buy one of these subs. I called Musicians Friend and they had a special, 15% off anything over $299. A single sub is $209, the pair is $379, a $39 (roughly 10%)discount. The shipping was $63 by freight because of the size. I asked Musicians Friend if they shipped as a pair or was that $63 for both. The guy went and spoke with his manager and said they could put them both on one pallet and ship them for $63, so I pulled the trigger. I did have to pay sales tax because I live in Missouri so the total cost was: $379 * .85 (15% discount) = $322 * 1.07 (Sales tax) = $345 + $63 (Shipping) = $408. Each sub individually is $209, so it's like I bought two subs for no sales tax and free shipping...less than that actually. I thought that was a pretty good deal, so I got the pair! They arrived on an ABF truck shrink wrapped together on one pallet in perfect condition, just like the guy said. Very nice.
Unless you have some ridiculouisly unreasonable expectation, you absolutely won't regret buying these subs.
