We've had these subs for about a month now, and have gotten nothing but excellent performance from them. We use 1 on each side for our FOH mains, topped by 2 Kustom 1x15s on each side (6 cabs total). We run a Behringer 2012B PA Head at 500wtts bridged and into the Kustoms then out to the subs. We run a pair of Behringer 300wt powerd monitors of the monitor out and daisy chained to them are 3 Kustom 2x10s wedge monitors. We use channels 1-5 to mike the drums and channels 6-8 for the Vocals. Channels 9&10 are Guitar & Bass respectivly and 11 is our CD for tunes between bands. The kick drums are THUNDEROUS with deep bottom thru this set up, and we've been complemented scores of times on our live sound both for tonality and volume for such a small system. The Nadys added supreme bottom end, and the built in crossovers made it a breeze to add to our set up. We run the volume hard all the way around being a metal band and push the subs hard for that killer double bass sound. We push them for at least 3-5 hours per show, as we usually run sound for the whole night. People frying crossovers and blowing cabs apart at the seams are just plain trying to use too much power for them. Listen to old sound guy down there, and you've got yourself a very good quality set of subs for a great price.

Bought a pair of these subs on sale when the band was first starting out. Still gigging with them after 3 years - almost 100 gigs. One cab started rattling and I had to open up the cab. The crossover had come undone. A bit of duct tape fixed it. I've saved up my money and plan on upgrading my subs later this year. From my original PA setup, I've replace my mains, amps, and mixers. These subs are the last piece of gear I felt I needed to replace/upgrade. I won't knock these speakers. They have given me good service for 3 years. If you can afford more expensive speakers, go for it. But if the budget is tight, these have been a great value to me.

Hey ive used em for a 2yrs doing small outdoor events for city sound contracts. i like the weight!! easy on the back and the 1/4 inputs are cool with me. easy field repair! They bump pretty good.
perfectly light weight. I havnt had any problems with em. i was expecting to blow them and replace em with better 18" drivers. but they keep working. kinda suprised me. I have had to reglue some carpet. but thats normal for carpeted cabs after a few yrs.
im realy happy with these. i needed some single 18"s for a light portable system. thse have fit the bill and peformed better than i expected. Ive done everything from rap to marriachi to rock with them at all kinds of events and they work for me.

I bought two of these and i was very pleased. But before i actually plugged them in i took the advice of the other reviews and took the sub out of the cabinet and removed the insulation. its a very easy thing to do for the great value of the subs all in all very pleased!

I bought two two of these and have been using them for a couple years. I read the reviews about the crossovers so I decided to pull out the speakers and check them out...they were melted! Glad I checked them before they quit working. I bypassed them and will use my active crossover to split the signal. Good speakers just watch those crossovers...

OK, as the title states...these things are junk but you get what you pay for. I'm a pro sound tech and drummer for a rock band. I bought these to try for some smaller gigs and I've blown the crossover in them twice and I was only shooting minimum power to them. Even when they were working the lows were just ok and I got no thump on the kick drum and I got more low end out of my full range SP2's then I did with these things. The cabs are built cheap and the electronics are junk as well. Plus, any support from Nady when you do need to replace something is an absolute joke. Don't waste your cash...if your on a budget take a look at the behringer1800 pros....much better power rating and overall a WAY better cabinet if you need something that thumps out and are on a tight budget.
Comments about Nady PSW18 Subwoofer:
Ok fellow musicians, listen up. I bought one of these because I was low on cash, I have a Peavey 18" sub that kicks, but playing in a live rock band, one sub didn't cut it for both sides of the stage, so I took a chance and read the reviews on this item. Being skeptical I opened the box to find the grill was not attached at the corners, not a problem, a trip to the hardware store and some small washers did the trick, since the screw heads aren't big enough to keep the grill in place, next I took the speaker and handles out, only to find the insulation was laying on top of the speaker magnet, I took it out and disposed of it, bought 2 cans of rubberized undercoating and coated the inside of the cabinet thoroughly, the crossover problem seems to be taken care of from the factory as they are now zip tied to the board, next when taking the wires off the speaker the wires will pull out of the terminals, again hardware store fix with better quality terminals. The speakers are screwed in rather crappy, so turn the speakers a 1/4 turn and drill small holes for the screws and they will stay tight. Now a comparison to my Peavey, the Peavey goes lower in the bass frequency range, but the Nady has a nice tight bass punch to it with our kick drum, haven't had any problems so far, the sound is clean and chest pounding, I have this running parallel down to 4 ohms with the Peavey, powered by a behringer 2500 through one channel, in short, I will be buying another one of these for small clubs, but using my Peavey for bigger outdoor gigs, since the Nadys are a little more compact and 20lbs lighter. For a tight budget, these are fine for live rock music, just take the Nady emblem off the grill and nobody will know your a cheap skate when it comes to subs!
Comments about Nady PSW18 Subwoofer:
Okay, they do lack a little bass for DJing. I think they work fine overall for all music formats though. I run a pair of these with a pair of mono Nady XA-900's. It provides the right amount of power to the subs. Been using them for 2 years with no crossover rattles or billowing smoke out of the subs. Only problem I had was the poor welds on one of the pole mounts. Took it out, had it re-welded for $6 and kept on going. I would recommend these to anyone starting out along with the amps. We can't all have top of the line til we hit it big ya know...
Comments about Nady PSW18 Subwoofer:
Remove the insulation from the inside right away, that will keep it from smoking. They are okay at the most, compare it to a quality sub and you will realize that you have wasted your money. I'm so disappointed in the low end performance, these are not for DJ's. I would recommend them for Rock Bands though. I wish I would have read some of these feedbacks before I purchased this product. Thats what I get for being cheap.
Comments about Nady PSW18 Subwoofer:
I am the stage manager/drummer for a traveling country band. We play many venues outdoors and indoors. We purchased 4 of these subs and top them with 4 kustom kpc215 cabs. The sound quality is excellent and the versatility of their smaller size makes them easier to handle and transport. We did however, have to remove the crossovers, as they just wouldnt hold up. but after removing the crossovers, these subs are great for just about anywhere you want to use them. I highly reccomend them to anyone with a tight budget that wants a good sound ,and no hassles.
