Comments about Nady RPA-6 Portable PA System:

Purchased my RPA6 4 months ago. In smaller venues I use only the unit itself - I use an additional speaker for larger locations and in even larger places or outdoors I add 2 powered speakers using the line output. When 2 of us perform I plug in an accordion, acoustic guitar, and 2 voice mics. In our bluegrass group I use 3 instrument mics, 2 voice mics, and plug in an acoustic guitar. In our accordion band I plug in a keyboard, vocal mic, and if necessary, use 2 or 3 instrument mics on the accordions.

Great PA system for one man bands

      By Anonymous

      from Undisclosed

Comments about Nady RPA-6 Portable PA System:

I play at Small churches, nursing homes and other smaller type venues. I want my setup to be quick and easy and carry as little equipment as possible. This PA system work great for the sixe of rooms I play in. I use a I-pod for my backing band which I plug into one of the 6 available channels, Then I plug in my instrument mic and vocal mic and I'm ready to go. I set the PA beside me and I can hear fine so I don't even need to bring monitors. I've had it for a couple of years with no problems. If it did ever break I would buy another one.

      Speaker wire disconnect

      By Uncle Tuffy

      from Austin, Texas

Comments about Nady RPA-6 Portable PA System:

I bought my Nady about 4 months ago. We have a houe concert series. We have used the system for 2 concerts - worked great. A friend came over to help me learn to adjust the system, etc. We found that the woofer was not working at all. We looked at everything we could think of, tried different channels etc. No luck. I called Nady, they were very responsive and told me to ship the system to them at my expense, they would repair and return at their expense. I finally grabbed screwdrivers and was deterined to find the problem. When I pulled the speaker out, I found one of the wires lying disconneced on the floor of the cabinet. I put it back on the speaker and it was very loose, I used pliers to clamp it down, plugged it in, and it worked. I like the system, it does seem like they would have caught the loose wire during quality control. And it would have been a bit expensive and frustrating to ship the system from Austin to California to have a wire put back on. I would still by another of these systems if I needed something this size.

      Good value!

      By raymond-CAHC0

Comments about Nady RPA-6 Portable PA System:

I was looking for a good value in a basic PA starter system for our garage band, and found it here. This system seems well built and sturdy enough to hold up to some abuse, it sounds good, and its not too expensive. Now, one 12" speaker and 130 watts is not going to blow the roof off the place, but it will amplify your vocals enough to hear them in the mix. Features (reverb, tone) are basic, but they work. If I need more sound later, I'll add another speaker. But for practice and fun this works!

      Good for small gigs

      By Praise4ever

Comments about Nady RPA-6 Portable PA System:

I have been using the Nady RPA-6 Portable PA System for about 2 years now. it serves me very well for when i do my acoustic gigs at coffeeshops and small churches. actually, it really pulled through for me at a gig when i didnt have my guitar amp availible and did a great job keeping the tone on my Les Paul Standard Plain Top. the 6 channels come in very handy, espescially since i like to hook up my keyboard through it too. overall, its well worth the money and it hasnt had anything go bad on it in the two years i have owned it.

      nice little PA

      By Anonymous

Comments about Nady RPA-6 Portable PA System:

This is a great little PA for the money. I am an active musician and wanted a good little potable practice and small venue PA for acoustic gigs and this does the job just fine. And when you hook up another speaker to it it is plenty loud enough to play with a full band which we do and use it as our practice PA. over all it is well worth the money. it isn't the fanciest but seems to be well built and definitely gets the job done. I would recommend this to anyone especially if you are on a budget.

      Review

      By Harsh Thaker

      from Cerritos, CA

Comments about Nady RPA-6 Portable PA System:

I am using Nady RPA-6 for a month now, 2 hours daily. I was watching this item for long time and bought it as soon as an attractive deal came up. Sound is good. I liked 6 channels, each with individual XLR and 1/4 inch inputs. I was first considering Roland but seeing these features in Nady RPA-6 and further feature of portability as well as frequency adjustment for individual channels, I bought it. When I changed from Carvin to Behringer microphone, I got better sound output. Cooling fan sound is irritating - Nady should have used quiet fan. Knobs can be shaken sideways as if loose, though they are actually not loose. Overall, I am happy with the product. I hope I will be able to use it trouble free for long time. Sound is good. I use it for vocal and keyboard inputs. I think it could be louder with 130 watts. I am going to try within 2 days in an indoor function in a larger room.

      My impressions of the RPA6

      By Little Brother Blues

      from Conyers, GA

Comments about Nady RPA-6 Portable PA System:

Went bad on me within days of mild use. Probably a fluke but had time to evaluate it very well. Nice value, pretty heavy, amazing amount of PA for the money but made cheaply and the build in reverb is just a variable echo delay that can't be adjusted to sound right. Really bad reverb. The line inputs wont work with an instrument 1/4" line in even if you use a preamp like a Baggs PADI. It will accept cd players, keyboards in those inputs but not guitars, pickups, etc. Has very nice bass but the cheap horn gives it some weird frequency response in some cases. Overall this is well worth the money at the sale price but I decided to return it defective and get something a little nicer. This is a decent beginner poor person PA but it has shortcomings. The wheels and cheap plastic popup handle work pretty good for saving your back because it's a bulky 63 pounds soaking wet. The cab is build pretty well with metal grill. The output to a passive speaker is nice and so is the line out but getting those reversed could be easy. You also hear a cooling fan whirring when you turn it on. A usable reverb and better horn would make this impossible to beat for small acts.

      Great speaker, but...

      By th249z

      from Rancho Santa Margarita, CA

Comments about Nady RPA-6 Portable PA System:

I would just like to say that I'm extremely pleased with this speaker system. Nady did a perfect job of getting everything you need for a complete speaker system all in one box. HOWEVER, if you are planning on doing a gig, no matter what size (guitarist, bassist, dummer to battle sound against), this is NOT for you. Acoustic performances or public speaking would probably be the best use for this amp. Anything above that won't work with this. Unfortunately, I found this out the hard way when we were supposed to play outdoors for a small crowd, and we couldn't hear our vocalist at all over everything else. Great for your money, just make sure that you aren't using it for vocals with a band.

the best PA system i have ever had

      By extremekid

      from Hillsdale, MI

Comments about Nady RPA-6 Portable PA System:

This is a very good pa system and it is worth the money, I have used it for my band and it works great. Although it could be a little cheaper, because it was a little much on the price but it was all worth it and all the money I spent on it. It is very portable and very easy to store. If you want studio sound in a small package that is easy to transport. Get this one, it is the best.
