This Mic Rocks! It has great balance and clarity...captures true vocals and sound (ie. mic'd amps and mic'd acoustic guitars) ...and, it has phenomenal upfront presence. It is much more powerful and bright than a Shure SM58. I have switched all my vocal and acoustic mics to this Nady SPC-25 and now own four! Plus, they come with a sturdy foam lined case. Order now, for studio or stage, you will not be disappointed!

Initially I was happy enough with the sound quality & clarity of this mic. My use is live vocals.
It seems to have a nice analog warmth to it. Where it failed for me was on very strong powerful vocals. One female vocalist seemed to distort this mic constantly (fresh battery even). Switched vocalist to a Nady SPC-20 & Nady W-1KU wireless and distortion vanished on both those mic's. The distortion was on both of my (2) SPC25's. The other annoyance is that it is not Phantom or Battery powerable. It is battery only.
Between the SPC25 & SPC20 or even an SM58 for my next purchase, I'll buy the SPC-20.
I won't recommend this mic. for general / unpredictable vocal singing applications unless phantom power is not available.

Comments about Nady SPC-25 Condenser Microphone:
This Mic really surprised me for the money. I stopped at my favorite Music Store to check out what was new. A sales buddy told me about this great mike on the Cheap.
(I mean Inexpensive NOT Cheap)
I have used just about every brand of mike out there in my 35 yrs onstage. I must say it is a lot cleaner than a Shure SM-58
(the SM stands for Studio Microphone)!!
The 25 is a bit thin on the bottom end but a tweek of the lows and low mids & It was good to go.
I like the fact it has flat ridge on the windscreen so it will not roll if put down on a table.
If you take the windscreen ball off there is a secondary screen and using it in this configuration works great for miking acoustic guitars. It isn't quite as good on Brass due to a bit lower SPL level, It can distort a bit if pushed too hard.Batterys last forever in these.
The mic has a very solid well built feel, without being too heavy, much like a 58.
I believe every Musician should have one of these at least as a backup! it will work fine as a main microphone. It has a fair amount of Proximity effect, so it is easy to control volumn and lows by adjusting the distance from your mouth.
It comes with a decent hard case and clip.
It gets my vote for the best sounding and built Mic for the price, I simply cannot understand how they do it! Don't buy another mic without testing one of these, (especially with all the counterfit
Shures out there)!

Comments about Nady SPC-25 Condenser Microphone:
I was buying a mic for a friend ,wanted something good but not too expensive ,read the reviews and took a chance and purchased two.I normally use a sure 58 or a audix-om5 live, tried this out the other night not only was my mic hotter than everyone Else's at the same settings my mic was by far the clearest.Normally I am on top of my 58,this mic sounds best about 4 to six inches from the mic,I am going to purchase two more.

I own 2. These Are way better than you think!!! It is amassing to me that they are so inexpensive. forget about the high dollar and over priced name brands, you will not be disappointed. As far as the battery life the book says 10 hrs but I'll tell you that we have used them way longer and even left it on for a week and it was still working. durability no problem, after a gig once a friend was helping us out and pulled on the mike cord and the boom stand went over and drove the business end into the asphalt and flattened the screen I took the top off pushed it back out and still works great. this is a full rang Mic, just look at the specs.

Comments about Nady SPC-25 Condenser Microphone:
I bought one of these to use with a Fender Passport portable sound package. I was so impressed that I bought a second one. I don't know how long the battery lasts - we've used these for 3 or 4 1-hr concerts with probably 6-7 hours "on" time so far. They are plenty hot but don't overload to easily. Nice, clear sound, too. I like 'em. Amazing for the price!
Comments about Nady SPC-25 Condenser Microphone:
I've tried several battery powered condensors and have always had to preamp them higher than my phantom powered condensers. The sound of the SPC-25 has some upfront presence that lets me keep the levels down and it does a great job of filtering out ambient room noise. You'll also find that when you take off the pop screen to put a battery in that the condenser element has another pop screen over it. This definitely provides protection and helps to eliminate the usual plosives that handhelds tend to pick up. The sound is quite clean and the sturdy structure keeps mic handling noise to a minimum. For this price, get more than one. And if you're worried about batteries, get rechargeables.Overall, an excellent mic. I've purchased several Nadys and I always end up getting a great deal.
Comments about Nady SPC-25 Condenser Microphone:
This mic is fantastic for the price. If you know what you're doing, this can hold its own against much more expensive mics. My only complaint is that the clip that came with it isn't even close to fitting any mic I own--maybe they were just trying to get rid of it. In all, great price for a decent product.
Comments about Nady SPC-25 Condenser Microphone:
I just got it. Compared it side by side with my studio mic, and a SM 58 which has been my main vocal mic for years. My studio mic is budget but still good. It was about identical power and sound wise. But better in the respect it only picks up directly in front of it. Back and forth with my SM 58 the sound quality is the same as far as I can tell. However it may be as much as three times more powerful. I will still use my 58 for some venues probably because its like a good friend. This would be a nice acoustic guitar mic also because it is so sensitive. If you are on a budget this is hard to beat.
Comments about Nady SPC-25 Condenser Microphone:
I have used this mic in so many applications, and it has performed in all of them wonderfully. It is so nice to have condenser sound without having to worry about phantom power, and durability is awesome. I have had one since this time last year, and bought another about a month or so after that one. It is a good stage-condenser sound at the price of a dynamic mic, can't go wrong!
