Sound is REAL tinny.Short in mic connector - noise every time you bump it. This is not over time - right out of the box.Very easy to turn the input level wheel every time you turn the body pack on and off - a mightmare to keep the level set right.
I work on the sound crew for a church. Our other equipment includes Shure VHF and AKG UHF wireless systems, a Mackie mixer and crown amps. The RF signal on this unit was extremely solid but the mic makes everyone that uses it sound like they are talking into a tin can. I am going to try to return it. Would not recommend this mic for anyone except the most rank of hobbyists.
Purchased one of these to offer its use on wedding gigs when a minister needs a mic to be heard. Worked fine during its first use. During its second use, it started cutting out after approx five minutes of use by the minister. The battery had not been stored in the transmitter after its first usage, but assumed the battery might be defective. The third time out was the same as the second time, even with an absolutely fresh battery and a new line cord to my amp. This is the SECOND defective Nady brand item out of TWO Nady wireless systems that I purchased on one order. The old addage is true - you get what you pay for! I have paid a low price and got low quality merchandise.
When ordered with the unidirectional mic system offers very good range feedback immunity. Omni version is horrible. Same for Nady VHF. HF response very hot on omni making it VERY feedback prone and sound quality unusable for much of anything. Stick to the unidirectional mic and you'll be fine. Level control on transmitter simplifies single person setup when setting levels. Range equal or better than Shure TD VHF or UHF. NICE! Shure sound quality better but for speech these are great.
