Advanced features, lower price!

The Nady UHF-4/HT UHF Handheld Wireless System offers offers high-quality wireless for an amazingly affordable price. Interference-free operation on select UHF frequencies, companding circuitry for an industry-best 120dB dynamic range, and clear, natural sound. The microphone features the Nady DM-10D unidirectional neodymium dynamic cartridge for true sound, maximum feedback rejection, and minimal handling noise. Transmitter features status and low-battery indication and a off/standby/on switch. 9V alkaline or NiMH battery provides 4-6 hours continuous usage.

Consumer Alert:

Most users do not need a license to operate this wireless microphone system. Nevertheless, operating this microphone system without a license is subject to certain restrictions: the system may not cause harmful interference; it must operate at a low power level (not in excess of 50 milliwatts); and it has no protection from interference received from any other device. Purchasers should also be aware that the FCC is currently evaluating use of wireless microphone systems, and these rules are subject to change. I picked up a pair of these on sale. Instead of cheap, they were were dirt-cheap! They work great- WAY better than my money's worth. I would like to pass along a couple of tips. Do careful level-setting inside the mic. I make gross hooting noises right point-blank into the mic, and if the red light shows on the receiver, I turn the internal mic level down some more. The system has great dynamic range, so you can make up gain at the receiver and downstream. If a loud, close singer is overloading your receiver, you can't do anything about it at the receiver and board end of the signal. The other thing is the battery contacts. Stick with one brand of 9v batteries. I know it sounds like BS, but if you line up 9v batteries from different manufacturers, there is a slight difference in height. If you follow using a taller one with a shorter one, it will rattle around in the mic and lose contact. I've had to pry the tabs back down a couple of times, and am worried that they will break off if I keep that up!

I bought two of these for use in a school PA system and although they are cheap, they are some of the worst sounding wireless mics I have used. I would call them barely acceptable for speech and unacceptable for vocals. RF reception and range are fine, but RF noise is a bit high.I have used wireless mics from Shure, Audio Technica, Vega, Telex and others - usually products in under $300 range, and the sound of this product does not compare favorably. Do not expect anything close to a wired mic sound. There was a noticable distortion that was accentuated if you tried to bring up the treble which you will want to do becuase the mic sound is very muddy. Also, of three mics I ordered, one was DOA and one had worse sound quality than than the other. I am sure Nady makes good wireless mics in a higher price range, so if you can't spare the extra money, I would recommend getting something used.

dj Revenge!

By DJ REVENGE!

Wow! Talk about bang for your buck! I was really surprised when i tried this mic out. I have used more expensive wireless handheld systems and was shocked with this mic's performance. I'm probably gonna buy more of these as they don't hurt your pocket and you're not too concerned when someone drops it. These mics have a great range and never cut out for me. While walking around and testing range I went about 150ft away with and had no cut outs. The only complaint would be with the handling noise, but it's not too bad. All you have to do is turn it down the line while the mic is being passed along. These mic's don't weigh very much but don't be fooled. It is a great mic that sounds good and has a good range.

Excellent budget Wireless

By Audiomatron

from Hattiesburg, MS

This mic is an excellent value for the price. It sounds good, and I haven't expeirenced any dropouts with it. The only thing I dislike about it is the handling noise. It picks up every little move your hand makes on it. However, there is a mute switch that you can turn on while you are not singing. Aside from the handling noise, I'm quite satisfied with my purchase. Now I can spin around like Dave Gahan and not wrap myself up in wires!!

I pastor a church and use this microphone often. It has good sound, but does drop out every once and a while. However if you are just starting and do not have a lot of money this is a great product.

Great deal

By The Gospel Kid

from Brookhaven, MS

Recently purchused a Nady UHF4/HT UHF hand held mic system for our church. One of the best buys we have made. Sound is clear with no drops. We tried it out by walking away from the church a good 250+ with no fades. We are going to purchase some more of these.

I purchaced 3 of these mics and they are great for the price. I would rather have Shure but for the price of one decent shure you can buy 4 or 5 of these. I had one mic on channel 3 to malfunction but NADY was great in getting it repaired without any trouble

Title says it all... upon arrival it barely worked and sounded terrible when it did. I was talked into the UHF-4... a mistake. No range, drop-outs within a couple of feet. Nothing made it work better and the longer I tried the worse it got. Sending back immediately. I have a 10-year old Samson VHF wireless mic that works terrific just for comparison.

For the Bux, it's the best!

By The Fryer

from Nolensville, TN

I purchased the Nady UHF-4/HT UHF Handheld Wireless System out of neccessity. This unit held up to high marks. As a matter of fact one of the agents at the event wants to buy one for his artist. It's light weight and reliable. What more could you ask for?

Great Price/Performance

By Dr. D.J.

from Yardley, PA

The UHF-4 is the 3rd Nady wireless mike I've purchased, and I'm surprised by how well it performs for the price paid. They are reliable, easy to use, & sound great. I've had more problems with wireless mikes that have costed 2-4X more. I did a recent event with over 1000 guests, and the PA announcements were crystal clear and understandable by all. One minor irritation is a little bit of switch noise, but this can be avoided using the standby position.
