Honestly, this is a really handy thing for musicians to have around. It's a quick and easy way to record ideas for songs without the hassle of a studio setup. I warn you, though that this is not a professional quality sound. This mic has a VERY low recording volume and picks up TONS of ambient noise. It's a really great toy, but not a great tool

I know a few more things about what I want out of my next microphone since I learned a few things with this purchase. I've attached a video of some uninspired improvisation done through the microphone using the Sony Acid Music Studio software. The result of the "music" was alright after using the tweeks by the software. Note the original recording was done dry on an acoustic guitar through the Nady microphone.You can hear how noisy it is when it doesn't work right and there are two tracks. Note the guitar track volume was boosted as much as possible.
I bought the microphone with the sony acid music studio and found it to do about everything I wanted it to, or at least I think it does. Since I ran into problems such as the person who said the microphone quit working just all of the sudden, I haven't been able to do (didn't want to) much recording once I learned how to use the software.
The product is physically okay, but the support for the drivers is non-exsistant and it is still fairly noisy. There is no driver specifically for this microphone - it runs on a generic driver. I don't know where the problem stems from, but the driver for the microphone just stops working after a short time, requiring it to be redownloaded pretty much at each use. While I don't know if it is a microsoft/vista problem or a conflict with some other device, this is the only microphone have had with this problem. I've even replaced my webcam with one of another brand and done a reformatting of my computer (the problem just came back). So, take my rating of quality with a grain of salt. You might not have any problem with the mic. There are however other's that have run into this same problem as I have. And, there is no way to fix it that I have been able to find. A microphone that works sometimes stifles inspiration.
This is a decently priced microphone and does the job as long as the driver is working.

Junkjunkjunkjunk! total garbage. don't waste your money. It's has very low sound output, it's hisses and has terrible background noise, not sensitive to sounds.
I've used it for years to record song ideas, but anything beyond that is garbage. Might as well just use the memo function on your phone instead and not spend the money on this hunk of junk.
NADY is an awful brand. I will never buy anything of theirs again

Overall I love it. Just wish it came with a CD to download the drivers, it hooked up great the first time I installed it. Now for some reason my computer does not recongized the mic. oh well I am sure it is operator error.....
Purchased this Microphone to sing Karaoke online.... I love it.... very clear. picks up my voice even in a wisper..... great mic for the price....

I bought this microphone about 8 months ago. I was mainly using it to record my acoustic guitar. This microphone worked great in the time that it did work. Nice and crisp, and easy to work with, especially, I found, with my acoustic guitar and my software/hardware setup. I went to use it one day, and it no longer worked corectly: it sounded like it was stuffed under blankets, even right up to the screen. I tried using it on a different computer and had the same problem. I take care of my gear. I didn;t use this mic very often, and when I wasn't using it, I stored it in the box with the foam inserts that came with it. Never handled it roughly either. I don't know if I just had some bad luck because I haven't been able to find any cause for this, but overall I am unhappy with this microphone's integrity.

Awesome condenser mic for the price. And since it's a usb mic, you don't even have to worry about an audio interface for it, which is great because I am just getting into recording and don't want to spend too much money just yet. There is a little bit of noise when recording, but any decent recording software can take that out no problem. I tried plugging it into one of the usb ports on my Korg Microkey and that stopped the noise too. So don't worry about the noise. The mic holder it comes with is not very helpful. I bought a shockmount for it and now it's really great to record with.

It works great with mixcraft. But make sure you have a good sound card to get the full studio experience. It is just great to use and its gorgeous.

I have used this mic for recording rapping. It sounds better with software compression than analog condenser mics I have used with a rack compressor, and which cost several times what this unit is priced at. If Nady added a dB response adjustment switch this review would be 5/5 across the board.
