just got the nady bushman torpedo harmonica microphone. it has a good clear sound. it sounded realy good through my fender mustange amp. the only fault i found with the nady bushman torpedo is that it needs a volume control. other than that its a good cheap started microphone. am thinking about upgradeing to the Audix Fireball-V Harmonica Microphone.

Comments about Nady VHM-7 Bushman Torpedo Vocal/Harmonica Microphone:
I play 2-3 times a week with a modern, southern rock band. I already have a very blues/country voice. I wanted the gritty tone of a harmonica mic for certain songs.I did hours upon hours of research/shopping until I found what seemed to be the best fit for my use. I've used it at 3 shows, and it's performed WAY above expectation. My sound guy, fans, and bandmates LOVE what it adds to my sound. The vents are great for doing a wah effect. Add a little reverb, while cupped, and it makes a really cool megaphone effect. The only drawback of this piece is the mic clip. If you want to take it off the mic clip, you have to unplug the cable and plug it back in (which takes all of 10 seconds.)

This is a Good Mic if you Sing & Play Harp! It's a bit on the clean side, so it wont get that old warm chicago tube sound without a lot of tweaking. But if you Sing & Play your harmonica Clean, this may be your ticket!Pretty Good Price.
Comments about Nady VHM-7 Bushman Torpedo Vocal/Harmonica Microphone:
The best part of this mic is that I get plenty of volume with no feedback. I also own a Green Bullet, but I find that mic far too "hot" when I cup it. If it had a volume knob it would be 5s across the board. Now, I have to resort to a foot switch to alternate between lead and background playing.
Comments about Nady VHM-7 Bushman Torpedo Vocal/Harmonica Microphone:
I bought it and tried it, on stage and off. The Good- Looks well made, nice mic stand holder included with carry pouch, nice clean sound on the tinny side, bass wasn't strong. The bad- no on or off switch no volume control. Not good on stage when you need to kill it. Picks up to much breath sounds and when I bump the harp on the face it really carries thru the mic. You have to draw very hard and get a good seal with your hands to get that nasty 2 draw bent sound. I ordered a Green bullet 3 days later. When the Bullet arrived I played the two with the same settings and the Green Bullet blew the Bushman away. It's the difference between a 4 cyl engine and a blown funny car. Spend the extra few dollars and get the Green Bullet. I returned the Bushman
Comments about Nady VHM-7 Bushman Torpedo Vocal/Harmonica Microphone:
Just got the mic today, and love it already. Feels good in your hands and the sound is incredible, and virtualy no feedback, well I had to hold it against the speaker at practice levels. I can't wait to get out and Jam with it. If you are looking for a NEW mic as opposed to a vintage, this is the one...
