So, my team and I were invited to lead worship at a really big church... 3,000 plus filled the auditorium.... and I was quite nervous, at my church I utilise the Shure Beta 87A, but this time the sound engineer told to try this mic, I did not really notice a big difference besides the fact that my voice sounded deeper, but when I heard the recording playback I was amazed, I truly was! this mic made my voice sound not only deeper but also full rich and definetely stronger.At the end of the service people were greeting me saying that my voice was strong, full and confident. I still like the Beta 87A, but I most certainly want to buy this mic and to add it to my collection to have more options, I think it's a little expensive but certainly worth it, so if you can justify the price of this product for it's quality I recommend you get it, but first test it in a live scenario or music store, to ensure you don't make a mistake, always a great idea when purchasing a new product!!! There is a reason why the live audio industry looks up to neumann. The kms105 is a microphone that will make the best vocalist sound better than they have ever sounded before. But of course your sound is only as good as your weakest link. You will not notice a difference between the Km105 and the Sure sm58 if you have a crappy system. If you are running a low end systym like bose, just stick with the SM58, you will do your wallet a favor. But if you are running a Nexo other high end sound system your collection will not be complete with out this mic.

I have owned this mic for seven years. I also own Audio Technica (atm 41, better than a 58) Sennheiser, and Shure.This microphone, for vacals is as close as you will get to a great condenser in the studio. But be warned, if you are off pitch, everyone will hear it, very nakedly.If you are a good vocalist, it will make you sound great.

The only problem I've had with this mic is that if you have a airy voice it'll make everything a bit muddy. For what it is it's the best. I own a beta58 and a beta87 as well, and i use thoes to "fall back on" if the PA sucks. Another problem is that if you don't have a "good" sound guy and your too close to the drums you'll face some big problems. If you can get your hands on this mic and try it out for a show thats the best thing to do. I know by it's self it's amazing but you have to make that call.

This is an amazing piece of kit if you take your live vocals seriously. The first time I used it, I couldn't believe what I'd been missing! It doubles really well as a home studio mic, so if you need both, this covers both fields. I have found it to be be surprisingly robust, having used it extensively for 3 years now. It IS worth the money!! (and looks hot, too!). Comes in a gig pouch and a tubular box for protection on the road... I love it!

I used this mic to play bars in jersey I sing in a baritone and it really lifts the tone out, I play out 10-15 times a month and after coming back from vermont it started acting funny. I sent it out thinking it would be gone along time I bought a shure 87a,It came back in a week working better than ever and my 87a well, I let my friend I play with use that. Very Happy.

If you ever get a chance to put your 5 most favorite vocal mics side by side try it. Make all the faders and eq's identical then try it! You will be amazed at the response. No need to struggle. When used for the weekend Karaoke get together, people fight to use this mic. Controlling your vocal cords is no longer a strain.

The quality and dynamic range that this mic has are the best I could find in a non-studio mic. It is expensive, but I can get right out of it for what I paid for it, just like my tlm105. A good value. You get what you pay for...

I have used this mic for about two years now and it still keeps impressing me. I work at a jazz club and we often get in fairly critical singers on stage. This is a mic for those who want their vocal to be the important element in the mix. The high end is open and gives detail that average stage mics never are able to deliver. It is also fairly senstitive (watch out for HF monitor feedback) and the performer/singer can vary the distance to the mic to a degree that gives a great deal of level control. The mic is especially nice on female singers, I find. It's a thrill to see the smile on a singer's face when he/she is presented with such a nice mic. You can tell they are all happy with it.
