For anyone wanting this product that wants quality sound DON"T ORDER THIS! It has a Low Grade Distortion that makes it sound like you have blown speakers!
As a sound designer for a professional theatre, I have recently purchased two of these units to be used as sound cue machines at two different sites. I have had experience with this unit before and found it, for the price, to be perfectly adequate. The single play function is the only real thing I care about. On the downside, when a track has played and it cues up the next track, with a CD made with 0s track gaps, it sometimes makes a noise (part of the next track) before it stops. This is frustrating. Also not being able to disable the sleep mode can be frustrating too.
I DJ parties big and small and it is adequate for all my needs. It could use a few features but overall, if you're getting started or on a budget (or one of those super parsimonious people), this'll get you the best bang for the buck.
If you want something that's going to last without giving you problems, and give you great quality, stick with the Numark line.
Unit works great, even with alot of bass close to my DJ table. A great by on the end of year model.
The CDN30 I assume uses the same internals as the CDN25, only with the addition of shock resistance. The CDN25 has had tracking and reading problems from the first use on new factory CD's, CDR's, all of excellent condition. It goes back for warranty work this week.
Works great. Control panel brightness could be better. Anti-shock works will. Unit has never skipped.
It just arrived last Friday, and I used it over the weekend for 4 services at a prison - two outside and two inside. We had singers using soundtracks and teams doing human videos. The dual decks with the controls up by the mixer were a pleasure to use. The queueing was quick and accurate. I am not too familiar with these DJ style players, and I understand this is a basic unit, but it has everything I need. And shock protection, too. My Tascam CDA630 will be collecting dust...I will be using it this weekend at the Superbowl Convoy of Hope show.Great value, great sound, highly recommended.
