These are the best product you can get, the scratch feature is by far better than Denon, Pioneer, Technics and all of the others. The effects that are included are all useful and the looping feature is very user friendly. The fact that you can spin vinyl and put about 250 songs on one cd using the MP3 feature and have the control of using vinyl is totally awesome, even better than a laptop based MP3/turntable set up like Stanton's Final Scratch, the only drawback that these units have is a rather slow read time when changing cds and when you use mp3 cds you have to burn them at 4x to ensure that they will work properly in the units. I absolutely love my CDX's and they were truly the best purchase I've invested in my DJ career so far, the first one I bought I had to return because the motor on the cd intake was malfunctioning, but besides that I am total impressed with Numark's research and development department for making such an awesome unit. The other guy who gave these a bad review most likely didn't burn his mp3 disc's at the right speed or maybe had a model that needed a software update, that's right, software updates on the Numark web page allow you to upgrade you machine with better features as soon as they come out. Thanks NumarkDJ PHAZE

My friend is a resident DJ at a local club here. I see this guy on a weekly basis and I watch him play for hours, at the end of the night we have scratch offs. Both of us are scratch DJs and turntablists. He uses one of these. This thing works JUST like a real vinyl turntable. However, I've seen this thing "freeze" or "crash" for no reason. The song that it was playing just suddenly stopped. My buddy sent it in and had a replacement and it did the same thing. It feels more like a vinyl turntable than all its competitors...however its simply not reliable enough to be used professionally. Imagine being at a wedding gig and it crashes during the bride/groom dance. There goes your career!

        I Love it

        By DJ BriGuy

        from Richmond VA

I bought the CDX when it initially debuted, and i heard alot of people had problems. I myself had a few problems after a couple of months, but Numark had a new one sent to me within 14 days of my initial phone call. 2 years later i bought a second CDX, and it is absolutley amazing. The possibilities are endless on these decks. The price... well, it's not horrid... could be alot worse. But thankfully Numark helped to drive down the cost on CDTurntables. I'd say the ONE thing i wish the CDX had, is cue points. Case in point -- If you're looking for a CD turntable and want GREAT scratching with 100% vinyl feel, the CDX is #1.

        It's Great!!!

I'm a mobile karaoke/DJ. I own my on company. With a decoder this machince simplfies things better then my other sets, and I am a Numark fan. The features are great, although I would have like a memory card slot. Other than that you won't find a better machine, that's from me and the rest of my DJ's. Born This Way Productions.com

        not as good

These aren't as good as I expected them to be, I spent a good amount on these and I am now regreting it. It is skipping when I use MP3 files and some of the songs wont even load. Even normal CDs wont work sometimes.

        The worst of the worst

        By Anonymous-Q_Lom

I spent three hours working with this table, and by the end of it I was ready to throw it out the window. I suppose if you mix house that this thing would work for you, but if you do any tricks at all, it is completely worthless. The selling point is that you put an actual vinyl record on top so that it feels like a real turntable. However, when you put a record on it completely takes away from the way the machine works. The only good feature I can see is the full size platter. I would rather wait until another company makes a better cd turntable cheaper.

        DJ Blendz

nevermind denon, techniques, and pioneer. There's a new name moving up in the DJ industry. This cd player is by far my newest and best investment i've made in the 7 years i've been spinning. I went from the cdn88 to cdx's. the effects sre a little different, but still good. Looping is still seamless and theres functions now to cut and lenghten the loops. Compared to other tabletop cd players with scrathcing effects, it's not as digital. I rate these next to the Technique 1200's. With a pair of the CDX's and a pair of 1200's i have everything i need... for now.

        Can't scratch this....

        By Anonymous

        from Undisclosed

I have listened to the serious contenders side-by-side: Pioneers, Denons, Technics and Numark and the Numark blows away the competition. The scratch feature is significantly more authentic in sound. In fact, I went from being impressed with the Pioneers (which i considered to be the best till now), to immediately unimpressed once i heard the integritiy of the Numark sound.

        this table is dope...

        By Anonymous

I am a vinyl dj all the way. I was always the one knocking the cd tables when they were first introduced onto the scene because they had so many features that made DJing a lot easier. i felt that these cd tables were taking away from the art of DJing... until I met my match with the CDX. this is the dopest thing I have seen. the features are awesome and user friendly for ANY type of style, whether it's club applications or just scratch sessions at the crib. the only thing I can say about this is TRY ONE FOR YOURSELF. you won't be disappointed!

        Just dropped my tech 1200's

        By Josh Warning

        from Cleveland, OH

I've used the new Technic SL-DZ cd turntable, the Pioneer cdj-1000, and the Numark CDX. The numark CDX is by far the most durable, easiest to use, and best value. It plays CD's and MP3's, whereas the Pioneer doesn't play MP3. IT feels just like using vinyl. After I burn all my vinyl to CD I will get rid of my technics. The only drawbacks I discovered so far are that you can't fast search and individual track in MP3 format. If the pitch lock is on, the scratches sound distorted. When I first got them they would occasionally just start to loop during mp3 play, but it has since been fixed with an update from numark. That's another plus, the software is updatable by the user via download from numark.

        Amazing

        By inis

        from Colorado

I recently went to the local music store and spent a couple of hours playing with ever CD turntable i could find, and i will hopefuly have my numarks soon. They are simply amazing. The unit is superior in sound quality, scratching effects, other effects. And most of all it is definetly the most user friendly. Everything is easy to use and seemless. The big test is just walking up and playing with it. It is the only CD unit i have ever touched the didnt bother me right away because it felt so different from vinyl. It feels exactly the same.Every product has its good and bad reviews. Go and play with the pioneer, numark, and technics next to each other and you will have no doubt in your mind which is the best.
