Overall, the CM100 by Numark is a solid mixer. As a sound technician, I work with various DJ's and chose to incorporate the CM100 along with a CDN88 CD player into my DJ rack. It's simple to use and has 4 channels of audio and a wealth of sends. Two features I love myself include the split headphone monitoring and EQ disable switch on the rear panel. As an engineer, this prevents the DJ from mucking up the sound. It was also great to see fader start on a low price range mixer. In terms of functionality... layout is great, faders are smooth, but the fader assignment knobs are stiff (although they aren't altered regularly anyways, so it is probably for the better). An A+ mixer for the price!
It is functional, but there are mixers out there that are better. It is a good one to start with.
Simple, easy to use, and rock solid. I use it for mobile gigging continuously - excellent features, great price. What more can you want?
This is a very nice mixer. It many features found in much more expensive mixers. If you don't need digital in or out, then give this mixer a serious look. The construction is very nice and solid. The faders feel good, not too stiff not too loose. The crossfader is smooth. Booth and recording outs are nice. Headphone volume is extremely good.Only faults, no fader adjustment and the rotary assigns for the cross fader are stiff and if you cross over the current playing channel it will drop out the sound, this means you have to think all the time if you are going between assigns.Overall it is an outstanding value in a 19" rack mixer. Back in the day Numark was ontop of their game, they slipped but they certainly did an excellent job of redeeming themselves with this mixer.
Excellent quality for the price. Fits well into the SBK rack case. Easy to use and looks awesome.
I have used a lot of different types of mixers when working clubs and with my mobile dj business. When I bought new equipment for my mobile dj business, I picked this mixer for it's price and look. This mixer is very reliable and feels smooth. I haven't had any problems with it (knock on wood) since I got it in 1993. I bought two more since then.
