Excellent place to start

As the previous review states, this an excellent package to get for the absolute beginner. You can hook this up, throw records on, and proceed to juggle as well as scratch right away. You can have the output set to a certain volume, and the headphones set to another. You can have one record playing for the audience, but in the headphones hear both records at same time and get them matched, and then proceed to bring both together - it's very fun! I found the iPod capability superfluous, didn't use it, and couldn't imagine when I would. The rotating piece of the turntables are medal, and the black body is plastic, but it in no way feels or looks cheap. I had to sell them when I moved from the east coast to the west coast, but if I were to find a place to settle down for a while, I would definitely purchase this again, as I'm still a beginner with only a four or five months of experience. Again, this is an excellent starter package, and is worth every penny.

This product is geat for starters. If your just learning I would suggest going with this package as it is easily affordable and works well for the price. The turntables are light as is the mixer. I did find however, that the mixer is fairly basic so it may need upgrading. Other than that it's a pretty good little kit. I would reccomend upgrading the turntables once you get into advanced scratching however, based on what I have heard.
