First off, if you think there is something wrong with the sound of the mic, learn how to use your mixer. If you don't have one, you shouldn't have a mic in the first place. I have a complete recording studio comprized of the cheapest stuff money can buy, and I've made 4 records that sound better than any local recording studio, because I don't rely on how good my equipment is to cover up how bad the engineers and musicians really suck.these mics are the best bang for your buck. If your not going to buy a 150 dollar Sure mic, just get these. Sure is the only thing I would pick over these, only because they will take more beating. This mic has a very nice sound, picks up all frequensies very well, and is pretty strong. I drop them all the time and they never have problems. The wrest of the package is good too. The cables are very nice, and the stands... well they stand and hold your mic. Overall if you are looking, look no further. Take it from me, and everyone whos owned a C.D. made by me. They'll tell you whats up.

We got the "6 pack", and I've been working with these stands now for about a year. They're (disappointingly) exactly what you expect:boom extension clamp assembly has ?pressure fit? sleeves attached to the shank-cylinder, and they?re ALWAYS coming loose. Consequently, booms are not secure against axial torque ? to the point where the mic can ?droop down? (spin on the boom axis); Mechanically ? it is easy to ?fix? in practice, just squeeze together onto the shank-cylinder the pressure fittings. Good for the evening, yep. Base (tripod leg attachment assembly) block?s screw is wearing the pot-metal block, eventually will strip Vertical shaft height-clamps (twist-lock style) are dysfunctional: counter-rotating (to loosen) seems not really to work (but does), and clockwise tightening is equally loose and doesn?t actually tighten in parallel with the mechanical feeling of tightening. Boom-to-vertical pressure-head material allows ?slow creep? until very heavy pressure is put on the tightening screw. Like an oily-film might be between the rubber gasket and the sides of the contraption. BOTTOM LINE - The stands are a decent VALUE, but they're only marginal in quality. Granted that we purchased 6 all at once, and it could be a manufacturing problem for the lot, but given the materials of construction - I just think they're suffering from being "cheap stands"

These mics are extremely easy to use and they sound amazing for spending only twenty bucks! However, they do pop a little bit ever now and then if you get close to them. But if you stay back like 5in. They work extremely well, i'm impressed.
This product is great! here's why: A good boom stand for $** is unbeatable. So, that is already a good deal, then... you throw in a free clip (that wil fit just about any mic because it is the adjustable clip style) and a free 20' Mic cable (nice) and a free Microphone (which is not really any good at all, but... you can easlily re-sell the microphone for $* and make your final cost only $**.so this pak rocks.
This is a perfect deal for the set it, and forget it rehersal room... Bought 3 x 2Yrs ago so we didn't have to invade the trailor every week... They work fine for that purpose to this day...
This product is great for the price. Me and my bandmate ordered this with a behringer mixer and plugged them in out of the box, and wow I would have never thought it would sound this great. For this price I would pick up as many as you can.
I'm 37 yrs old and have been playing bass and singing since I was 15 yrs old. Stand is great, cord is good, mic clip is good and the mic is fine for practice. It took a little while to dial in a good sound on the mic; but what do you expect from a practically free mic? You can't buy a stand alone clost to this price. Great for practice rooms, beginers, or semi pros on a budget. I bought two and will use the stands all the time and the mics on occasions.
I bought this because I needed a mic to plug into my Digitech JamMan to make pre-editing comments prior to a loop. I got sick of borrowing mics from my church and trying to remember to return them. So I was looking for an in-expensive mic and stand to use at home. This is a great buy! The stand alone is worth the $20 and the mic works great with my JamMan and practice amp.For home / personal use, this is the way to go. You can't beat the price and you get everything you need (mic, clips, stand, XLR cord) all in one low priced pacgage.Well worth the money in my opinion!
Stands and good mics are often sacrificed to the gods of liquid and inertia. I have seen liquid fly out of the nose of a singer after a great joke and ruin a $300 microphone. That type of thing happens every year. It almost wants me to go out in the spring and smash down two mics and sink two others in buckets of liquid to appease the gods of the stage. But wait, Musicians Friend has a deal for a complete stand and OK mike for a real steal. Take my advice and buy five. Then buy a good mixer with a PA and some snakes and you?ll be set for the year unless you have the unfortunate luck like the people I know. In that case you?ll make everyone buy three and they can supply their own when they destroy theirs. At the price Musicians Friend is asking for this solid stand and mic even the poorest garage band can afford a few units. They are not the best units made but they are better than most. Such a deal does not come around often enough so take full advantage, I am glad I did.
The stand is really good and looks pro, the only problem was that I got the mic and the clip broken and I had to buy me another one; the price for the whole package is great.
I bought two of these 2 weeks ago. The following week I bought 2 more. If you're going to play a large gig somewhere, buy something else. If you want something for practice and a little recording, you can't go worng here. Very happy with the mics and stands.
This amp is fun to use and picks vocals up from a great distance. I play this through a behringer eurorack UBBO2 and a marshall mg15dfx...which i make louder with the mixer. This has a bit of feedback which is probably the amps fault, but since it turenedd down the treble and contour I could never be better. The one guy at the store said it's better than a shore in his opinion...since he said people returned them and they break way to easily unlike this. For having a gift card to chuck levins and a need for a mic to get rid of my dads cheap computer mic and a stand for my band I've never been happier. This product is great.
I'm disappointed in the stand...I have to weigh it down to keep it up! The microphone is okay...wasn't what I made the purchase for but was a nice little extra. Maybe the stand is only made for the light-weight mic, because it will not hold my Shure without toppling over. I guess it's true...you get what you pay for!
I bought this primarily for the stand, and because my band needed a few more mics so what the hell, any mic would do, or so I thought. Though the stand is fairly sturdy and has proven a good stand through many shows, the mic is total garbage and not worth anyone's time. The clip sucks too. Sure, if you're just trying to get your voice or guitar on the computer, or want whatever you put into it to be heard in any fashion, sure. But, if you want any kind of quality signal, stay away. It's really hard to get this mic to sound clear, it sounds like you're talking into a mic with a pillow over it, and no mid-boost or low-cut helped at all. It was still muddy and unintelligible. So I guess if you just want a cheap mic and a good stand, sure, it's only twenty bucks, hell, you could get this just for the stand and throw the mic away, but oh well.
A great stand for the price! The microphone wont get past some practice sessionsHowever, the stand is very well constructedYou will not find a better stand for the price
I bought this right before x-mas and was surprised to find that it is a good looking package for the money. I am pleased with my purchase. The stand and mic are worth more than I paid. Looks great, works real good. Will be buying another one for sure.
I remember when I bought a mic and a mic cable for over $60 together and it was absolutely horrible and I didn't even buy a mic stand. Yet, I bought this package and got such better results. This mic is really good. Trust me, I expected to be needing to get a better mic once I got this but not so. I've had this thing for a year now and it's in great shape. The stand is perfect and the cable hasn't once let me down either. Sure, you can get better quality mics and I wouldn't necessarily record with this thing, but being in a garage band and on a tight budget, this thing is amazing. Bottom line: it does it's job and delivers far more than you would expect when only paying this little.
Well, so far so good. These mics (4 total) are used as peripherals for a 4-6 part choir accompanied by brass, pipe organ, and harpsichord. As soloist mics they're acceptable, as mics for enhancement, I couldn't ask for a better deal. I'm impressed by the price, and well for 20 bucks who can complain?
Very pleased with the quality of the cord and stand, sound from mic leaves something to be desired, but at $20 for the whole package, I can't really complain.
I got this as my first mic/mic stand for my band. The fact that it costs what it does and comes with a mic, boom stand, clip, cable, and a pouch to carry the mic should make any begginer buy this. It's a great deal!
I took a chance on this order. As soon as I received the package, I stood it up and tested. Before I knew it, I was recording. The stand is worth the price itself. The microphone is adequate and will be useful as a back up to my primary. For my home recording needs, it is a solid enough package. The chord clips work okay if you GENTLY remove and replace them. Enough adjustment settings to make my recording experience more pleasurable. For the money, you can't beat this package.
I have had two sets of this pack for a month now. My band's been using these for practice. We could not ask for more. The stands are sturdy and looks elegant in black color. The clips are good and so are the XLR cables. The mics, oh well, nothing is perfect right.
