The Peavey CT 10 cable tester gives you a quick and easy way to check for opens, potentially damaging shorts, or cables wired out of phase (to wrong pin). Useful considering it's a well-known fact of live sound that the closer you get to the start of the gig, the more often things go wrong.
The Peavey CT 10 lets you test cables with TRS, XLR (M/F), RCA/phono, 5-pin DIN, banana plug, and Speakon connectors with LEDs that confirm continuity.

Works well. A great addition to my equipment bag. The only thing that kept me from giving five stars is the battery compartment is somewhat loose fitting.

Got one of these to quickly check cables rather than an ohm meter. It works well and I've had no problems with it. It has test leads you can plug in to do continuity checks, and also came with a 9 volt battery so you can use it right out of the box. I've had some Peavey gear in the past and all of it was bit sturdy, just as this is.Does everything it is supposed to, might be nice to have a built in volt meter, but still a very good tester for the money.I would definitely buy another if it were lost or stolen.

I had two testers go bad in two weeks.Same issue, worked good for the first 5 cords and then the only lights that would come on were the number 2 (tip) lights. Called Peavy and they didn't seem to care much. Its too bad because I have had many Peavy products that worked well for 20 + years. It is a nice unit if it only worked.Time to look at other brands.
