An efficient combination of power and value.

The PR 15D packs power and full-range sound quality into one compact loudspeaker. This 2-way powered system contains 270W of bi-amped power. A separate amplifier for each speaker provides crystal clear sound even at very high levels. 200W powers the heavy-duty 15" woofer and 70W are dedicated to the RX 14 compression driver. Both amplifiers feature DDT compression, which virtually eliminates audible power amplifier clipping.

The enclosure utilizes tough polypropylene in an injection-molded plastic trapezoidal form, with a coated steel grille to offer an eye-pleasing yet durable powered speaker system. The PR 15D has a built-in three-channel mixer with individual level controls for XLR or 1/4 inch connections. Molded-in handles provide ease of transport while multiple mounting points for pole stand and Peavey Versamount brackets make it perfect for installs.

The Peavey PR 15D has a variety of applications such as sound reinforcement, public address, side fill system, karaoke, or musical playback. It also makes an excellent stage monitor and can be easily added to an existing sound system.

Comments about Peavey PR 15D 15" Active Speaker:

I DJ If I get in a large room and try to push these very hard they clip. I did a prom in a Gym and they could not handle more than an hour of being past 5. I had to add a 3rd speaker. They do sound clear and clean.just can,t be pushed.

Comments about Peavey PR 15D 15" Active Speaker:

I purchased this for use with my POD XTLive. It's used as an onstage monitor, running the line out to the soundboard to FOH.There is some hum at lower levels, and the clip light takes a few seconds to flip over to blue, but otherwise I like it.I have to compensate for the low end with a 15" woofer, but the horn really cuts in on the high/mid freqs. Overall, the sound can be shaped from the board like a post-EQ, so no biggie there. My model doesn't have the 3-band EQ section like the more recent ones, but it doesn't matter. This thing is plenty loud and can hang no problem with the band. Anywhere I play that has good PA, this will come with to cut down on load in/out.And it only weighs like 35 lbs!
