      Peavey PV 3800 "Nice" amp

      By Robert Lamb

      from Georgia

Comments about Peavey PV 3800 Power Amplifier:

Well, what's to say about a power amp? It doesn't have a soul like a guitar. It is a tool. It is expected to produce hi fidelity sound in keeping with similar products in the industry, and it is expected to deliver sound pressure levels reasonably in keeping with its description. In short, being a souless tool, if it doesn't blow up in your face when you turn it on, it has performed admirably given its (albeit youthful) stage of life. Thus, as this one did not blow up when I turned it on, delivers good quality sound at the volume I would expect from its description, it has performed admirably. I expect that it will continue to do so. (But the way, pairs nicely with two Peavey SP-5 speakers).

Comments about Peavey PV 3800 Power Amplifier:

i own this amp and the 1600 bi pack, they are a great set up, i use these to run 4 sp 118 and the bi pack to run 2 sp7 cabs, the only downfall is that we play lots of really big places and the 3800 seems to peak very easy when we either run 4 or 2 subs, other than that they are great
