Everything I needed in a compact mixer...using it with a few mics and headphones as I would an in/ears send from the main board. Now I have control of what I hear.

Comments about Peavey PV 6 USB Compact USB Mixer:

I bought the model with the USB port as it was on sale but prefer to plug straight into the sound card. This eliminates any latency issues. I've waited to write a review as I wanted it to run it through it paces. The RCA input jacks are perfect for using a second computer as a playback platform while the RCA outputs are tailor made for plugging into a soundcard or tape console. The only drawback I can find it that there is no input level or EQ control (for the RCA inputs). There are plenty of inputs for smaller combos or the solo home recorder. The thing is so simple to use that I only had to refer to the manual one time. For beginners, this is the mixer for you. Unlike the similiarly priced Behringer model, this one has a very durable power supply plug. If smething happened to this one, I wouldn't think twice about buying it again.

I wanted something small, i could mount on my E-kit, and play along with my computer via headphones.

            Quality you expect from Peavey.

a previous poster complained about driver issues.
I've had no problems whatsoever, (windows 8, win 7, and XP), but if you do, google "aiso4all" which is a universal AISO driver. it works with everything i've ever thrown at it...

Comments about Peavey PV 6 USB Compact USB Mixer:

I do my own home recordings and I was originally looking at audio interfaces because I figured the USB in would be a lot quieter and I typically only record one track at a time. But when I saw this on sale, and for only a little bit more, I thought it would be a great thing to have.
I love it so far. It has more features than audio interfaces in a similar price range and it has a USB option to boot! The controls all feel really smooth. The chassis feels rugged. And it has phantom power.

              No Drivers

              By Rappjm

              from Haverhill, MA

Comments about Peavey PV 6 USB Compact USB Mixer:

I recently decided to switch from Protools LE toPropellerhead Record. As part of the whole deal I purchased the PV6-USB in an effort to both downsize and improve on the M-Box Mini's latency issues. The PV6-USB does infact have very little if any latency when monitoring, however I had to spend 44 Euro to get a ASIO driver that would allow it to work with Record. In the end the new setup works great. It just cost me about sixty bucks more than I intended. Peavy should really provide a ASIO driver.

              NICE NICE NICE!!!

              By MariusLeBlanc

Comments about Peavey PV 6 USB Compact USB Mixer:

I got this mixer a week ago and it?s been working great so far. I connected it to my computer via usb and I didn?t have any trouble with it. I?m using FL studio and, with the ASIO ALL I rooted all my instruments to the mixer successfully. The price is great for all the features that it has. 1 problem that I found it that I use condenser microphones to record and live shows, so when I was trying to connect the condenser I found that the phantom power is not 48V, so I had to buy an phantom power supply. However, for the price and for what you can do with it, the PV6 it?s a great buy.

              Very nice small mixer

              By Tele_graphic

              from Alabama

Comments about Peavey PV 6 USB Compact USB Mixer:

This mixer gives me just what I needed to use as a sub-mixer for my stage percussion. For that purpose, set-up and use is intuitively easy. It doesn't seem to introduce any noise or coloration into the system, but does give me the ability to adjust levels and eq's from my drum throne, and not have to rely on FOH for tone and relative volume, the only control he has is where the percussions sit in the mix overall. The reason I downgraded the features is due to the usb port - I could not get it to pass signal into my computer and the owners manual did not provide a clue, and in fact the words indicated that there was a usb level control, but none exists on the mixer (it is found on some of Peavey's larger usb mixers). The reason for the quality downgrade is that the power cord into the mixer from the transformer looks to be anything but rugged. However the mixer itself seems to be of a very high quality construction.I love the fact that there is an on/off switch on the back, unlike many smaller mixers in this class and price range.
