Comments about Peavey PV14 / Harbinger APS15 PA Package:
This system has a lot of bang for the buck. 180 wats may not sound like much, but trust me, when you are blasting this thing in your basement, you don't want to be right next to it.The speakers themselves are a little noisy, but the hiss is nothing too bad. The crossover i think isin't the best, but what more can you ask for in this price. The speakers don't come with a lot of specs so here are the ones from the owners manual:Dementions: (HxWxD) 28.7 x 19.3 x 14.6Weight: 46.3 lbsthings you need for this system if you are going to use it is a subwoofer, some speaker stands, and EXTENTION CABLES. The cables for the speakers where not designed to be on stands, and at a good hight, the plugs don't even reach the floor. These speakers are clear and clean, but without the low end, they will be harsh and thin. I love the mixer. The only thing i wish it had was a better effects send config. As it stands, you have to run an effect through a seprate channel, and then run that channel as an effects channe. This isn't an issue when im DJing, but if i want to run an effect for somthing, i have to sacrifice an intire preamp to it. Other then that. The Mics are a great add on. No they wont sound as good as say a sure sm58 but for what you get, they are great for micing guitar cabs on a budget, or MC work. They do have a pretty good pattern, which means they can cause a lot feed back if you don't know what you are doing.I love this system. If you have an extra few hundred to spend on a powered subwoofer, you are set for all your small gig PA needs.
