The main things that initially attracted me to this mixer were the large number of mic preamps, and the durable metal construction.I hard-mounted the mixer into an SKB road case, using aluminum channel on each side. I have used this setup for numerous gigs over the last five years, and it has been 100% reliable. I would not hesitate to buy another Peavey mixer.

I ordered the wrong item.

By Loren Mach

from Undisclosed

Comments about Peavey PV14 Mixer:

I ordered the wrong item in that my needs were a POWERED MIXER. I ordered the unpowered P14 Mixer and it was sent on a very timley basis. I didn't realize my error until I unpacked the item and tried to set it up. I contacted Musicians Friend and their very friendly and helpful representative helped me return the item with NO PROBLEMS. I have ordered several large cost items from Musicians Friend in the past few years and have found them to be very good to do business with. I am now in the process of reevaluating my needs and will double check my orderes to make sure I order the correct items.
Rest assured that I will be doing business with Musicians Friend again in the near future.

Unbelievable little mixer

By J.Barnett

from El Paso, TX

Comments about Peavey PV14 Mixer:

I have a Peavey 200 PA system that is a great syestem-just limited in plugins and FX needs. Ordered the PV14 to get more plug-ins and extra FX's. Received the unit two weeks ago, and am blown away at the difference it made in the QUALITY of the sound system. Very crisp and clear!!! It does not sound like the same system. I would reccommend it in a heartbeat. We did a big gig last weekend and fully pleased with it's performance.

Great product, great price!

By Greg Williams

from Virginia

Comments about Peavey PV14 Mixer:

My band had out grown my current mixer, so, I was looking for something with more inputs & came across the Peavey PV14. Knowing the Peavey quality from having used their products in the past, I decided to give it a try. When I took it out of the box I was impressed at several the user friendly features it had. I really like the color coded knobs, so that at a glance you know that black is gain, purple is moniter, etc., & the sturdy medal construction. Everything is well identified so even a novice soundperson could use it with ease. When I used it the sound was crisp & clear. I am glad I decided to buy the PV14 mixer!

PV14

Comments about Peavey PV14 Mixer:

Perfectly satisfied However I always unplugged the unit power supply to avoid lightning damage from storms however I didn't unplug the microphone cables. You got it...lightning struck nearby and each channel that had a mic plugged in no longer works plus one that didn't have a mic plugged in got to send to shop now.

Got knobs?

By Tank

from Duluth Mn

Comments about Peavey PV14 Mixer:

I can never understand why any company would use a photo of thier product when the photo shows extreme fualts with the product. In this case the first 4 channels are missing gain knobs. WHY? It doesn't make me want to buy it.

My first mixer...

By JHRex

from Hill Country, Texas

Comments about Peavey PV14 Mixer:

I bought this in February for the purpose of startng a sound production/recording business... I got on with one of the better bands where I am from and this is the cornerstone of my production. Its my first. I know I am a rookie, but this thing is a great entry-level piece of gear. The delays on the DSP are definiteley the go-to, and the ease of use is nice. Plug and Play...

Great Mixer

By country4jesus

from Illinois

Comments about Peavey PV14 Mixer:

I have owned one of these for about 3 years and have not had one problem with it at any time. It has been used for many gigs for myself and for others as well. It is a great for anyone who is not needing a lot of channels and don't need a lot of other bells and whistles with their mixer. The only thing I don't like is the effects aren't very vast in choice. There are a lot of different ones but you are limited by what you have. You can set them to different levels but it still limits you. I have and would still recommend this mixer to others. I use a different mixer if I want to mic drums because I don't need the vocal effects. Still, for the money it is a great product.
