Peavey

A mixer designed from the ground up for the house of worship.

The Sanctuary Series S-32 is a 32-channel mixer designed with several unique, user-friendly features to simplify operation. Peavey-exclusive technologies such as Automix, Auto Delay and Mid-Morph EQ allow any church leader or layperson to use this mixer with confidence.

On the Peavey S-32, channels 1-24 can be sent to three subgroups--solo, choir and music--while channels 25-32 have a fourth subgroup option that engages the exclusive Automix function. In addition, there are eight programmable Mute groups that can be utilized to silence groups of instruments, vocalists or other audio sources. All 32 channels include high, low, mid-frequency and Mid-Morph equalization, and all have direct outputs. The stereo line channels (21/22 and 23/24) simplify patching with three stereo inputs each and dual stereo gain trim controls, and they can accommodate split-accompaniment audio tracks or full stereo playback. The Monitor Blend control allows any mix of the left and right channels to be sent to the monitors.

The S-32 Sanctuary mixer features a sophisticated digital effects processing section with a complete library of contemporary effects. The powerful DSP functions also serve many of the S-32's outputs. For example, you can program crossovers, equalization (graphic or parametric), compression/limiting and delays. The Auto Delay toolset simplifies setting speaker delays for balcony, overflow seating or nursery areas. A built-in USB output can stream audio directly to a computer for digital recording and playback.

Automix is an automatic mixing function that will adjust microphones input levels automatically, turning down unused or low priority inputs to give dominance to the main microphone; the Mid-Morph equalizer is actually two EQ controls in one, pulling out low-mid frequencies that muddy the sound when the knob is cut and shifting to an upper-range frequency boost that brightens the vocal range.

A Great Mixer

By ToneDeff

Comments about Peavey Sanctuary Series S-32 32-Channel Mixer:

This is a great piece of equipment! Our church purchased the S-32 on my recommendaton and we've been very pleased with it's performance. I'm an experience engineer and feel comfortable with most sound systems but the S-32 made the learning curve a lot less steep for the volunteers who help out in the booth. The only complaint I have is that the CPU is not large enough. The unit ships with all of the digital processors active and, if you're not careful, the CPU will overload and crash with the loudest white noise I've ever heard. I recommend that you disable all features that you don't use to reduce the load on the CPU. Out of the box the CPU is operating at about 70% capacity. After EQ, delay, feedback ferret... we were at over 90%. We managed to get down to 49%. Other than that this is a GREAT mixer (especially the Automix and Feedback Ferret features) Wouldn't trade it!

The best mixer that i ever own 'til now

By Bob Le

from Louisville , KY

Comments about Peavey Sanctuary Series S-32 32-Channel Mixer:

This mixer loaded with lots of features, other people "don't know" about the digital effects therefore they can't comments but i do, i have went through every detail about the effects and found that it works amazingly from guitars , keyboards to vocals, especially vocals that you tried to stay away from feedback and this mixer built in feedback eliminator which regardless where the microphone goes you will not hear feedback comes. about groups, this mixer came in 3 and it does has main volume for each group and all groups came down to master volume, other special things about this mixer is that it built in 4 monitors output for 4 amps and it has its own volume on each monitor which not tied into the master volume that the mixer guy can turn down the master volume while players still can hear it. The another important things about this mixer is that the phantom power came in 3 groups. channels 1-10, 11-20, 20-32 . so when you need phantom power for your condenser mics, you put them in the group that phantom power on and the other groups are off while you don't needed. This mixer can run up to 6 amps.....and lots of other features on this mixer that i am still playing with and will update later, Bottom line is you can not go wrong with this mixer, the more i know about this mixer the more i love it, please NOTE that it made in USA, not China products. i hpoe this information will help.

By Mike J

from Rossville, GA

Comments about Peavey Sanctuary Series S-32 32-Channel Mixer:

Although the Peavey Sanctuary Series S-32 was spesifically designed for houses of worship it should not be limited to just these types of applications.the S-32 is very user friendly; the console also has a large virety of on board effects that sound very good.this sound board is built like a tank and if you can think of a feature you would like to have on a Mixing console this one probably has it... seriously, I am not kidding!
