There is a reason that these are some of the top selling speaker cabs in the country. Rock-Solid construction, great sound, awesome power handling, and a low price. What's not to love? I've owned two pair of SP2s, and the current set I have is at least 10-15 years old. Still sound great! Buy these speakers. Much more bang for your buck!
I have a old pare of SP2 that I bought. I've owned them for about 12 years and have never been let down by them! I am a mobile DJ that does mostly outdoor gigs so you can imagine these speakers have seen there share of abuse. they have never quit on me and I have only had to replace a magnet on one about a year ago. They sound great as they are or paired up to my Peavy Subs. I give them a 5 out of 5!!
We have used these speakers now for 4 plus years and driven them way beyond their capacity. In short, they are tough, tight, and have plenty of punch. Only thing about the SP2 is the hiss from the long throw throat, but it'll reach out there and sound great if you adjust the highs down a bit.
I have heard great things about them and am thinking about purchasing a pair of them. I have heard excellent things about the bass response out of them.
