A full-range 2-way that's biampable, too!

Updated technology gives the Peavey SP 2 better performance, sound dispersion and lighter weight at a low price. This rugged and dependable two-way enclosure uses a 15" Peavey Black Widow speaker that will handle up to 2000 watts of peak power and has a field-replaceable basket for quick, easy repair. The upper-mid and high frequencies are handled by the RX22 titanium driver that is ferrofluid cooled for maximum tweeter performance. Peavey's exclusive Quadratic Throat Waveguide technology actually reduces horn distortion and aims sound directly at the audience, not over their heads. The Aspen hardwood plywood construction, using extensive internal bracing, produces tighter bass response while significantly reducing the cabinet weight. To make connecting even easier, Peavey includes a standard 1/4 inch jack and an exclusive Neutrik Speakon input that makes biamping plug and play simple. Finished in the durable Hammertex with two heavy-duty handles and a stand mount, the SP 2 is perfect for a variety of applications.

The SP Series speakers have been a live-sound standard for more than three decades. The new SP Series features all of the proven technologies that have established the line as one of the audio industry's most enduringly popular, reliable speaker systems.

Unbelievable Deal

By HotShot Productions

Comments about Peavey SP 2 2-Way 15" Speaker:

I've been looking at these speakers for years and had never bought them because of the price. So I picked them up and used them right away at my next job and was blown away by the bass and clarity. They handle everything I throw at them with ease. I've used a pair of Yamaha S115V speakers for years with no trouble, and they are great speakers, but not even close to the SP2s. Should've spent the money and bought them sooner. Unbelievable speakers no matter what you pay. Definately worth it.

Comments about Peavey SP 2 2-Way 15" Speaker:

First off I purchased them from here, they arrived damaged, no damage to the packaging, but the speaker grills were damaged. Second these speakers are over rated when it comes to power handling, will not handle what they say they will. Don't get me wrong, probably the clearest speaker I've ever heard, but do not rate it at 1000 watts if it will not handle it.

Comments about Peavey SP 2 2-Way 15" Speaker:

Unbelievable sound! I don't even use subs anymore for most jobs because the bass response in outstanding. They are a bit heavy and hard to mount on stands but get some help. Other than the weight these are a great value. I tried JBL, Carvin and Yamaha and these are the best.

Comments about Peavey SP 2 2-Way 15" Speaker:

Can't go wrong buying these, they will fit all your needs in small-medium sized gigs!
Bi-ampable, 1/4 inch and speakon inputs... what else could you ask for
these things take a pounding and are crystal clear.. heavey but built to last.
Try finding a different brand name with the same watts for this price and its almost impossible to beat.

Terrific speaker

By turnaroundIheardittoo

Comments about Peavey SP 2 2-Way 15" Speaker:

Man, Peavey SP speakers with Black Widows, does it get any more iconic than that!? I've had the old ones for like 15 years, and they were starting to get a little rough, so I got these for small club gigs. Just a great all around speaker. I really don't have anything negative to say about them.

Comments about Peavey SP 2 2-Way 15" Speaker:

The Peavey SP2 is simply the best speakers I have owned.I upgraded to the sp2 and the were everything I thought they were and more. I run two with Peaveys old school FH-1 bass cabinets on a Peavey CS3000 and the sound is great. Clear high and mid with super bass.
