The Peavey XR 8300 / PR 15 PA Package gives you a perfect PA for small group/small venue performance. Includes the XR 8300 10-input, 600W (2x300W) powered mixer, 2 PR 15 speaker enclosures, 2 speaker stands, 2 Peavey PVI II dynamic microphones, 2 tripod mic stands with booms, 2 - 20' mic cables, and 2 - 20' speaker cables.

At the heart of this system is the XR 8300 powered mixer with 8 channels and 300W power per channel. Geared for clubs, rehearsal rooms, as well as schools and churches, the XR 8300 is gigworthy and portable. A host of DSP effects include vocal enhancers, delays, reverbs and other effects. Effects are provided with parameter control and are assignable to each input channel as well as the mains and monitors. The XR-8300 also includes such Peavey exclusives as FLS (feedback locater system) and DDT speaker protection circuitry.

The PR 15 speaker enclosure is a 2-way speaker system that is both lightweight thanks to a Neodymium magnet and rugged enough for live music or speech applications. It will handle 400W program and 800W peak and has a heavy-duty 15" woofer with a 2-3/8 inch voice coil and a RX14™ titanium diaphragm compression driver coupled to a constant directivity horn. Its durable injection molded enclosure features a black powder-coated steel grille that provides driver protection and a professional appearance. This system can be used on the floor, pole mounted, or flown via top and bottom flying inserts. Connections are made via two 1/4" phone jack connected in parallel to accommodate daisy-chaining.

A very good system.

Features:

This system is very good.  Love that the speakers are light.  I have a Dj/Karaoke business and this system has been great.  We have had many compliments on how clear the sound is and it can get very loud for what we do.  The price on this package is very good for all that you get.   The microphones are very clear sounding and the mixer is very easy to use and control the sounds.  I definetly recommend this system.

We use this unit for my band to play gigs with.  I'm not quite sure what kind of speakers we use with this unit...but they are huge.  Simply put...this unit is not enough. It's not loud enough for a full band playing a gig.  We need much more volume, and more effects.  It definitely is telling the truth when the description reads that it's great for smaller venues. I would just say it's very average at best.
