Comments about Phonic MAX 1600 Power Amplifier:

I owned and used this power amp for years and I don't even think about it anymore. It is reliable, more than enough power for driving my monitors. This is an awesome amp and well suited for live performances. It is also very quite. I will be looking for another one with more power to drive my mains.

Comments about Phonic MAX 1600 Power Amplifier:

I have had this amp for three years tried it because it was on sell, purchased it to run stage monitors, also have run top cabinets with no problems. saw some reviews on amp burning up or loss of power in channels, more than likely pushing the amp to much, or ohms not correct.

Not a Good Amp And weighs too much

    By Unnamed User-ohBxL

Comments about Phonic MAX 1600 Power Amplifier:

I Purchased this Amp About three weeks ago Shipping was great and on time. The Amplifier weighs too much for it's watt class, I could barely move it around, and the fan is too noisy. I was going to use it for my first Gig to run a 18" Sub by Harbinger, set it for bridge mode and back to stereo now only one channel works. WOW!! I was suprised to see an amp fail that quick. Phonic needs to regroup and start over, my opinion its the worst Pro amp out. I just bought a Crown amp and now Im so very very very Happy!

Does what it's supposed to do!

Comments about Phonic MAX 1600 Power Amplifier:

I got one of these amps with the purchase of the Kustom KPC215H's and was impressed enough to purchase another one to run subs. Very clean sounding and cool running, our first gig out the feature band used our system because they liked the sound so much. future plans call for another pair of these to add more FOH to our system. We have been pushing these amps hard for a couple months now without a problem. I would recommend this amp to anyone looking for clean power on a budget, or for an even better deal get the Kustom speaker package with this amp, you won't be disappointed. As long as you run them like they are intended and don't overload impedance with multiple speakers per channel they will run cool and last.

    Great... at first

    By Unhappy Campy

Comments about Phonic MAX 1600 Power Amplifier:

I had this running a 2X15 sub cabinet rated at 750w peak, yet somehow running that was too much for this amp which was rated higher wattage, as of now this amp is blown. I get now output from output 2 and very little from output 1. Very disappointed. i'll probably go with a Behringer for a replacement. If you get this, get the warranty.

    Awesome for tight budgets

    By Mark Puente

    from Stuttgart Germany

Comments about Phonic MAX 1600 Power Amplifier:

Just bought one of these to build a small PA to practice in my studio. Gotta say, even without EQ and just going from a Behringer Eurorack MX802A mixer and through a Behringer Composer MDX 2100 sound is awesome. Another thing that took me by suprise is, this amp is unbelievably light. Weighs next to nothing. I would recommend this amp to everyone and plan to buy 3 more to build a full gigging system.

Had this for two weeks and i went up in flames during a concert. Thick smoke came out of the unit and we had to interrupt the performance. Spend some more money and get a real product.

    Feature packed and inexpensive

    By Jeremy-kjpwS

Comments about Phonic MAX 1600 Power Amplifier:

I've used one of these amplifiers for a short while and can say quite positively that they can be pushed quite beyond the indicated specs and still operate with no background noise or interference or no buzzings or anything like that. They keep very cool, even under extreme conditions, and I do mean extreme. The music comes out very clear, loud and distortionless and best of all is it didn't cost me anywhere near my intended budget. I would definitely get another if I'm ever in the market again.
