Powerpod 410 Mixer

Features:

After jamming with my sons and wife for a while; and having several issues with feedback, cables, mics etc. I decided to buy this powered mixer kit for my wife. What an awesome little amp! By routing the mic through this amp we had almost no more feedback. There are four high and low impedance jacks, so our mics and cd player each have their own dedicated input. And we can also adjust the echo to our particular liking.

Quality:

Although we really liked this amp/mixer, I would have liked just a little more control over the tonal quality. But once we started playing, you couldn't notice the difference very much. The sound overall was solid, and very clean.

Value:

I've only had this kit for a short while but, so far it's one kickin' amp! So I would definately consider another one if we keep growing.

Overall:

When I consider how little the PowerPod cost me, and what it came with, I have to say this was a very good buy. Keep in mind that we are just a little family band in a small neighborhood. But I used have equipment that cost me a small fortune and this is right up there.

Powerful little pod

Features:

There aren't a ton of features, but I dont think anyone really is looking at it for features, more for the small, lightweight, powerful little speaker amp

Quality:

So far so good, no problems whatsoever but only time will tell, I've only had it for about 2 or 3 weeks with light use

Value:

I scored mine at a great price, and previously i had gotten a phonic speaker on the stupid deal of the day and the pair works great! super loud for such a great price

Overall:

This replaced an old pevey speaker amp head that I have that just wasn't putting out what it use to. I needed something I could easily use in band practice and this has worked out perfect. It gets loud and doesn't break at such high volumes (the problem I was having with the pevey) Its tiny and really light weight. I don't really know how long it will last, I know phonic is a cheap name, and the mic cable is already a pos but i wasn't really expecting high quality cables with it. The mic that comes with it is not bad for a free mic. I'd definatly use it as a 3rd string but that puts it up higher than a samsung mic that I actually paid for.

Overall I think its a great buy for a starting off PA system, as long as your speakers can handle it.

WORTH EVERY PENNY

Features:

Being on the road a lot because of my job status, I needed a small PA to perform with my metal band.  We played for 100 or more people in an outside event and this PA handled very well.  It is more than capable of getting the cops called on your party that you are planning on throwing because it has happened to me.  Yup, 5 cops showed up that night I remember but the good this is they stayed for the show and was pleased to hear the music and the singer that was using this PA.  It has four channels which is great for micing other instruments, also you can hook up an Ipod or Iphone and listen to some music before the show or just use the PA for tunes all night.  It is very loud and you can change the bass, treble and mids to allow yourself the ultimate satisfaction for the price.  Go ahead spend the money I dare you.  I triple dog dare you and if you have something wrong than you have bad luck and need to send it back in to get a new one because this is the ideal PA.

Quality:

The quality can not get any better for the price unless they threw in 12" speakers instead of 10" and still the 10" speakers are fantastic as is.

Value:

10 out of 10 value on this product

Overall:

If you are a very experienced singer then you might want to spend a little extra cash on a nicer mic just so you are satisfied with the way you come through the PA but other than having a fancy mic you will be fine with the way this system sounds.  Very proffessional.

I got this as the power for a package with speakers here. The main reason I wanted to do this review is a response to the reviewer who bought one, then basically let is sit for months, then used it and discovered a problem. Any electronics should, IMHO, be run without stop for no less than 24 hours. I normally run anything 24-7 for at least a week. That's true whether it's a PA or a television set, solid state or tube, regardless of price tag. That will, 97 percent of the time, expose any weakness. You might want to shake it on occasion during the burn-in period. I ran mine, first checking each channel with the mike and then with a guitar, then a CD player run through the aux circuitry. It's not the finest small PA in the world, It lacks some features many would prefer. It's not built to operate in a Hummer in a war zone while running fast playing "Ride of the Valkyries" - although it just might handle that job fairly well. It's a nice and very inexpensive PA that should work well within the design parameters. I figure mine will handle about any solo gig I might do. I have the 10-inch package speakers and for a small room solo gig it should be all I'll need with a mike and guitar. Perhaps in a somewhat bigger room, bring along the small guitar amp and mess with what an audience might hear in different areas of the room. Always burn in new electronics. Always determine whether the equipment is designed to handle your likely purpose. Could I have done better? Probably, but not at the price. For a solo up to a trio doing "standards" and "soft rock/country" in a small room it's plenty. It probably would work for a rock band gig in a small room. Some 12-inch speakers may be better, I don't know. Again, it's not for an outdoor 5,000 audience gig. For what it is, I'd call it a "best buy for the buck."

I don't know what happened to one of the reviews for this powerpod, but I've had one for a good 6 months and nothing has gone wrong with it.  It's simple and easy and has good features included on it.  This is definitely worth the money.  There is a better deal that comes with a mic and 2 10 inch speakers for only $50 more.
