While I was skeptical to find a good sounding PA system for this price, I found myself very pleasantly surprised. After years of playing in bands with high powered systems, I was looking for a small, portable system for a two person acoustic arrangement. The Phonic Power Pod 620/SEM 710 combination has been everything and more than I expected. The 10" speakers will surprise you, and the 200 watts is plenty for small to medium clubs. The Super High impedance inputs allow me to plug my guitar in directly. While I will never use all of the built-in effects, I found a few that suit my style and they are clean and tasteful.I don't think you can go wrong with this PA system for the price.

I purchased this and the first time I used it I was not really impressed. The speakers are defianitly made for monitor speaker ONLY! I used them to DJ when I was younger and they did ok for as much wattage as they are. Unless you are going to use them for monitor speakers only...don't buy theses...save up and buy something better. The speakers have a crisp clear sound and they can go pritty loud for 80 watts each...but trust me...them cab is a little bigger than my hand....Save up for something more!

PHONIC POWERPOD

By sgmonger13

from Connecticut

See all my reviews

My band recently got this PA for practice and small gigs, and so far it has performed like a champ. The mixer is loaded with effects and extras, there are tons of inputs, and it can power more then just two speakers. This is a great PA for anyone who just wants a small system without breaking the bank.

Little package with a big punch

This PA package was a great deal. I use the system for personal home use and I'm immensely satisfied. An amazing number of inputs which is what I was looking for. I wish it had faders as well as dials but they work well. I haven't played with the EQ features yet but the built in mic effects are preety sweet. I've gotten a little buzz at times but it usually comes from my sources not the system. I would reccomend this for anyone needing a personal PA.

Phonic exceeds expectations

By Scott-LS41k

from M.C.MO.

this system from phonic way exceeded my expectations. it has far more power than actually needed for our small santurary. the sound quality with soundtracts is fantastic, and it is super easy to mix in the vocals.also it give us the ability to easily tape services. the effects are fun to play with but we actually use very few. this system does every thing we need and plus it offers us some room for expansion.if your on a tight budget and need great sound, buy this system.p.s. buy a good mic though. that is the weak link. everthing else, A+

Awesome little PA

By martini79

from Sterling, IL

I was skeptical at first, but when I got this it really sounded good. It handles low end very well, and is pretty loud. The features are great. I have recorded with this and it works good for that too. You can run Mains and Monitors out of this as well. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Great Little system

By Mike-QNuII

from Bridgeport, CT

When I first recieved this system, I was a little skeptical about the quality considering the price tag was so low. I was pleasantly surprised that it is very capable system. I use it for band rehersals and I also use it as my own personal drum monitor system. It is very adaptable and works great for my use. I highly suggest this for some one in need of a small, inexpensive system. It has worked very well for me in many situations.

way to go phonic!

By andwhatshouldbe

This thing owns. So many people buy huge systems and waste their money on extra power they'll never use. If you're thinking of buying this, remember the old saying: it's not the size that matters, it's how you use it. 200 watts is good enough for me, and I use this as my main PA for both practice and small gigs.

Phonic Power Pod 620/SEM710 PA System

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

There are a lot of effects on this thing which I don't even use. I only use the reverb and some of the chorus settings on it and it works great! It went really easy on my budget and it hasn't let me down yet. EXCEPT for the mic that comes with it. It kept cutting out on me so I just threw out the cable and got a new one and it works fine now. It is nice for small gigs and is great for an aspiring metal vocalist. I definitely recommend it!

Great Product and Price

I've been gigging now for the last 12 years with a Mackie 1604 VLZPro mixer, equalizers and effects, Mackie 2500 Amp, and a custom heavy amp for monitors and 2 humongous JBL Speakers and 2 monitors. What a drag to get this lugged all around. The pain of setting up and tearing down. Then if one unit goes down, it all goes down. Then read on what the Beatles did back in the early days. 2 microphones, 1 25 watt amp and 2 12 inch speakers. Bought this unit, and played using 3 microphones just for vocals. And none of our other equipment miked. And played in a medium size hall. We sounded great, and the crowd loved us. What more can I say.

This piece of equipment is incredible. This is an amazing set of speakers for the price, even for any piece. If you want a PA system, this is the one to get.

$$$$$$$HAPPY$$$$$$$

By LeverAlone

from Born and raised Masshole!

I've had the Phonic Pod 620/SEM 710 PA system for about two months now. I'm in a three piece band right now and we practice in my Drummers spare room. I think this system is good for what we need right know. So far I have only ran vocals though it and everything sounds OK. Some speaker stands would be nice to have but these speakers also work well as moniters the way they sit on the floor. I have one big yamaha speaker and I am thinking of getting another so I can use included speakers only as moniters. All in all this system is good for the price.

An Amazing Little System!!!

By Pastor Justin

from Kalamazoo, MI

As with anything that is so much for so little, I have to admit that I was a skeptic. But, I needed a small system for my home studio. So far, the system has far exceeded my expectations. The system has a nice clean tone, the speakers reproduce well and the built in effects are pretty nice. Obviously it is no high end setup, but for what it is - I am impressed. I agree with the other reviewers - the mic that comes with this system is totaly junk. I bought two of the Behringer XM8500 mics. They are the closes thing to a Sure SM85 that you can find for 1/5th the price. Buy this system and I do not believe you will be dissapointed!

Good system, but be careful!

By JMJones418

My band bought this system last year, but we broke up about 4 months ago. I bought the system from the rest of them, because I'm into live and recorded sound, and plan on starting a new band soon. This weekend I was the sound man at a hardcore screamo show. I set this system up in a gym with 2 15" cabs and I used the 2 10" speakers that came with it as monitors. Long story short, after 4 hours, it overheated and (I thought) died. Turns out this thing has a built in load protection, and it saved itself. In conclusion, this is a quality system. But don't make it work too hard for too long. It doesn't have that kind of power.

This thing REALLY gives you what you pay for, hasnt let me down... yet... and it really is loud, for 2 10's people can hear me up the street really cool P.A. System. Except for the Effect's are really strange and i dont like to use them a whole lot probably because of my music taste but if you are into Psychedelic then they are for you

:/

By dj jam master jigar

from Salinas,CA

I am a dj who has used this one for several gigs. The sound quality is superior and for the price it is definately worth it.It cant handle a lot of power. The Amp will over heat. For gigs like school dances this system will NOT cut it. Use it as a monitor or for back up purposes. IT definately cannot go for a couple hours.

Life Beyond Reason (my band)

By Life beyond reason Guitarist

from Pennsylvania

First thing i would like to say about this product is that it is worth the money. Well, the story is my band lost our singer and he had a crate & yammaha PA system (750 watts). He left the band we got a new vocalist (he didn't have a Pa system at the time so we were looking for a good cheap PA system.Than we found this PA.This PA can take High pitched screaming,Low pitched,Medium Screamind, and regular singing. Our New Singer brandon and the rest of the band loves it.Only one thing if you want a crisp clean sound you have to mess with the knobs a little bit to get a clear sound through the speakers. If you want a Great product for a small amount of money this is Something you want!!!

Great PA for the price

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

This is a great little PA if you're looking for something nice while maintaining a positive balance in your checking account. I'm impressed with the sound quality attained from such a small setup (and price), having underestimated the included 10" speakers. Although many of the 100 digital effects are somewhat redundant, there are plenty worth using. The controls are intuitive and easy to use for any level of mixing ability making it easy to dial in nice sounds right out of the box. This is a great PA package for small applications and tight budgets.

Great Little PA

By sicklertaylor

from Monrovia, CA

This PA pack is really great. It is loud and clear and has some pretty cool effects you can toy around with. It is perfect for practicing and maybe even going out and playing a little gig. The speakers are kinda small, but they kick out some sound. Great piece of equipment. Totally worth the money.

Great PA At A Resonable Price

By Dennis-08zzT

from New York

I purchased this PA as a practice system in my basement. It's perfect! I didn't have to break the bank either. For smaller gigs I can use this and put an acoustic electric guitar through it with no problem. They also have 2 special Hi-Z inputs for instruments. An acoustic also works fine in the other inputs. I really like the echo effects - they are just as good if not better than my $600 PA Head. There was mention in one of the comments that it overheated - not my system (must have been a defect in their system). I've run this PA over 5 hours with no problems. Good Buy (no pun intended).
