Purchased this for Mobile DJ work because of price point and reviews from others. Overall the amp is great and works perfectly for what I use it for. The speaker cabinets on the other hand - leave a lot to be desired: the handles on the speakers are plastic and don't appear to be very durable. Wish there were heavy plastic on the corners of the cabinets. Unfortunately, both of my speaker cabinets had loose 1/4" connections and had to be sent back. I am waiting on replacements as I type.

Comments about Phonic Powerpod 780 / S715 PA Package:

Took a chance on this thing as I was putting my band together and I needed something for 3 vocals, electronic drums, acoustic guitars, and keyboards. This thing handles it all perfectly. Contrary to other users of this system, we never get it into the red. Ever. It has more than enough power to suit our needs. Most of the effects are just okay, but we like the variety of reverb choices as they are very good. The mic and speaker cables are crap; get some decent ones. We'll upgrade to a bigger system someday, but for now we are more than satisfied!

Comments about Phonic Powerpod 780 / S715 PA Package:

I bought this unit about a year ago. It was used very little, never left the studio and not at all abused but quit working anyway. Since it wasn't under warranty I asked Phonic for a schematic. They refused and want me to send the unit to a service center where by the time I pay for the repair and shipping costs I will spend more to fix the amp than the entire package costs. THANKS PHONIC. YOU GUYS ARE GREAT!!!!

Comments about Phonic Powerpod 780 / S715 PA Package:

Bought and used for 2 yrs now. play 2-3 times a month. Wanted the biggest bang for my buck. Got it! Couple of friends have have other system, Yamaha and Bose. These are quality systems but lack the warmth, punch and wumpa that my Phonic has. I would have to spend $1200-$1500 more to get that from one of the big boys systems.I'm not picky but love it when the sound system rocky. I know the system cost's less than others, the effects are not pro quality, but come on. I only spent [$]. The Phonic system is a great buy. Remember the equation; 1 watt per 1 person for $1.00 = GREAT!

Comments about Phonic Powerpod 780 / S715 PA Package:

This is a really reliable, great sounding and great value setup!I've use this set in a 3 piece band (Uke/guitar, bass and vocals) and it easily cuts it..But more suprisingly..I used this P.A in a 6 Piece Funk band (bass, guitar, drums and a full horn section)..and MY GOD it was excellent! The only problem I've noticed is the Effects nob is broken and doesnt actually change of the Intense reverb its stuck on.It would also be great if they Included a "pan" nob.

Comments about Phonic Powerpod 780 / S715 PA Package:

OVERALL:I have used this PA with an Indie Band, A Punk band, and a grunge band. It works great. I love using the speakers as floor monitors. I would not expect such good quality out of such a cheap PA. Pros:Works great for vocals, multiple singers or just one. I use it to mic my guitar amp as well and bass amp.Cons:The eq (high low mid)when turned up makes it sound muddy. keep it low. dont plug a guitar or bass directly into it, sounds crappy, mic the amp if you can. Not as loud as I'd expect this huge thing to be, but it deffinately has enough to get the job done.

Comments about Phonic Powerpod 780 / S715 PA Package:

Buy this unit, you will not regret it. I had the Phonic power pod 620 and loved it, but needed to up grade to a more powerful unit. The 780 plus is just perfect and man this thing can "BUMP". I went from the phonic 12 inch speakers to the 15,s and WOW what a difference. Phonic is a top notch unit even though you may not be familular with the name. Get to know PHONIC you will be pleased. They save you money by sending CHEAP cords, just go get some good ones later and have a good time.

Comments about Phonic Powerpod 780 / S715 PA Package:

I couldn't wait to get these going when I pulled them out of the box! Setup and use is a breeze, even if you have no prior experience. The mixer interface is very standard, and the built in effects are very cool. The sound quality is beautiful, and the bass slaps, although I took off half a point for quality, because the bass range appears to stop around 60Hz, and it was clipping and producing a mild of hum when loudness was increased, but, I was being rather generous with the bass knob and bass fader. Just don't go nuts, and it'll be fine. All in all, I highly recommend this setup. One word of caution: Everything is HUGE. Don't underestimate the size of cabinets necessary to house 15" speakers, and the Amp/Power mixer is rather large as well. The Cabs are approximately 18.5" Across, 15" Deep, and 27" tall, with the amp 18.5 Across, 11" Deep, and 10.5" tall.Still, everything is aesthetically very satisfying. Make sure you have room to store/move these! Also: I didn't try the mic, and the 1/4" cables included should be replaced with higher quality ones.
