You won't find a better speaker / monitor in this price range PERIOD !!! We use these as rehersal mains, and then monitors at gigs on weekends, and they are still kickin'. Just be careful not to crack the 1/4 input jackplate.
I've had to take this speaker apart, and the internal wiring is Very Solid. The speakers produce great sound at this price range. Inputs X-2 is always a good thing when needed. We run 4 of these as monitors for gigs. Two Front, and Two Back with an 1800 watt amp, and their still here..Haha / As an added note, you can easily access the inside of this enclosure if you should ever need to replace anything. Some enclosures are not that user friendly.
My only problem with the overall design is the input jackplate. It is made from thin plastic.
Hence, it is very easy to crack if the 1/4 is jammed in hard. I took it out, and fixed it, but even a cheap metal jackplate would be better. (FYI) We play in the upper midwest, and the night it got broke, happened to be a cold night coming straight out of the trailer...Cold plastic is brittle, and cracks easily. ~So Be Warned~ (The Fix) I've since removed all these jackplates, and simply double masked the back of the jackplates with two strips of epoxied on duct tape in a crossing pattern, then trimmed out the input holes, and replaced the input jacks. It ain't rocket science, but their better. ~What can't be done with Duct Tape~Haha
We've used, and abused these for floor monitors since 2008, and their still tight sounding to this day. At this price, you can't beat that for value. They've paid for themselves many times over.

I have two/2 for over a year, they been good overall although heavy 43 lbs each you also get large sound, not crips and low booming but rather a big wood structure speaker sound, they sound better with equalized sound but watch for wattage limits. Is a mystery to me how much they really handle (speaker, product website, website support) they all have different amounts, I say at 250 wattts program good, 350 watts or less watch out. I have blown the horns 3 times because went above 300 watts continously.

They will do a good job and I am glad for the many times I used them, I played all genres of music on them indoors and outdoors and got the best out of them, the woofer is intact.

A best buy at this price. Even better as a restock. Would buy again. Blow away Kustoms same size. ( by a lot!) . I can't even use my Kustoms any more after hearing these.
cabs are cheap MDF but son are the expensive ones these days.. speakers are high quality full spectrum. caropet is thin. no corners. No speakon connections. internal cross-overs. nice horn and / woof 2 way sounds.
speaker is high quality, the rest is standard cheap at this price point- expected.
the speaker alone is worth the price.

Comments about Phonic S715 15" 2-Way PA Speaker Cabinet:

These work perfect for me. I got them with the package deal last month with the Powerpod 740 plus to use for practicing with my drums at home. They sound almost as good as the $1500 stereo I was using before and have a lot more power. Hooked up a $35 DVD player and a few mics on my kit and I use it as a monitor as well. This system works much better for me than a stereo and I will bet they can take a lot more power than the 740 puts out. Very highly recommended.
Would have got a 10, exept for the plastic jack plates. The cords that come with them are cheap but ok for home use.
You would have to look very hard to find a speaker/monitor of better quality at this price.

Comments about Phonic S715 15" 2-Way PA Speaker Cabinet:

We bought this as a package deal with the Phonics 600w. And we used this for monitors for our practice sessions. In the one year of practicing and giging, this product has worked very well for us and definitely paid it off with one gig. We are planning to buy two more of these speakers for monitors and powering it with a Beringer 4000, a Yamaha 20 channel board. We use two Eons JBL powered speakers for mains and we have done many live shows with these equipment. The phonics speaker has far exceded our expectations and we will be using this for years to come. I would highly recommend this to others who want a great sounding product without putting a hole in your pocket.

Comments about Phonic S715 15" 2-Way PA Speaker Cabinet:

I got two of these speakers when I purchased a Phonic PA package. I plugged in a small 15 watt bass amp as a sub through my mixing board and was amazed. these speakers are very solid. As I said earlier, it's smart to get a bass amp or a sub woofer because of the lack of low end on these cabinets. The other thing I love about these speakers are the tilt back on it's side to convert it to a monitor. I use this feature very frequently when I'm playing the drum track to a song I'm my studio. But all in all I'm pleased.

Comments about Phonic S715 15" 2-Way PA Speaker Cabinet:

I had 2 speakers come from the factory with breakage during shipping. No problem with Musician's Friend, it seems that they come this way from the Factory.
Check the connections to the Tweeter horn- they seem to be fragile- make sure they are connected and make sure the horn unit is not loose at the horn base.
Otherwise- great product

I ordered 2 of these to use for a live acoustic duo. The sound quality was muddy and just not very good overall. The 2 Kustom 10" monitors i bought with it sounded much better. After about a month, both speakers stopped working. After trying to contact Phonic several times, i gave up and bought 2 beringer speakers on sale for a little under a hundred each. They sound amazing and have not given me any problems. Bottom line, these speakers are of very poor quality, even for the money. Even similar priced Kustom speakers are of a much higher quality.

        Phonic S715

        from 252, NC

Comments about Phonic S715 15" 2-Way PA Speaker Cabinet:

These speakers should be priced way more than what theyre being sold for. If youre looking to practice or play a smaller venue, go with these. Sound is awesome, quality is on point, and the price is unbeatable.
Pretty much features what it needs. Strong handles on both sides, sturdy construction. Double port holes in the box really add some thump. Wouldve rated a 10 but these only feature 1/4" inupts and not speakon connectors.
When I ordered these, I got the whole PA package with the Phonic 740+ head. I expected these to be made of cheap carpet, and thinner mdf, and cheaper woofers and tweeters. When I pulled these out of the box I was shocked. These are really well made. The sound quality is very good as well. I run my Alesis drum kit and screaming/clean vocals out of 4 of these paralleled (I ordered 2 more afterwards). Every note and drum sound has its crisp highs and thumping lows, especially if you know anything about EQ.
All I can say is for the price. If you dont jump on these, you're missing out.

Originally used as practice mains and they worked great. First time using at a show as monitors did not go so well. Circuit inside one of the speakers fried during second set. Overall not a bad product very lightweight for there size and still use the one speaker as a practice monitor. I think my kustom and B52 sound better for live performances, but for price you can't beat it specially for a practice PA

Comments about Phonic S715 15" 2-Way PA Speaker Cabinet:

I'm a musician, electrical engineer, and sound man for over 20 years and I picked up a pair of these with a matched Phonic Powerpod 780 mixer combo about 6 years ago. I have used them at literally hundreds of gigs and they still sound good, with a decent, balanced sound spectrum. They don't produce thundering bass like a JBL, but do a decent job for a ridiculous price. SPL is impressive at 98 dB - 1W/1M, measured their peak clean output at around 120dB, decent enough for a medium sized hall. I usually push them hard most nights, but not to "stupid" (high distortion) levels. For EQ I, boost 60 and 8K about 3-4dB, and leave the rest flat. People regularly compliment the sound they hear. Sturdy wood construction, carpet-over, although mine are pretty beaten now up with tears at corners. My only beef with the design is the flimsy plastic handle inserts and 1/4" jack plate. I've been careful not to snap these so far, but some have cracked already from the cold and with regular handling. One horn stopped working after about about 4 years, but I opened it up to find the wire simply detached and pliered and reconnected it to get the speaker back in action in minutes. For what it's worth, I would have to shell out 5x to 10x the dough for a similar-sized Mackie or JBL with a 15" driver and they wouldn't last any longer. They hold their own and definitely worth the investment.

These speakers are not very loud. They also don't have a very dynamic range of sound. No lows and muddy highs. They also both blew out on me within 2 months or so. I was only using these for a 2 man acoustic show at small venues, and they still had trouble. I have 2 kustom 10' monitors in that particular budget setup, and i think they sounded better than these 15's. Beringers are only $50 more...It's worth it.
