I really like the ease of use,very user friendly compared to ableton live.Lot's of fun to play with.Thanks to Musicians friend and their satisfaction guarantee,they really stand behind us musicians.you need to get yours because of the digital input to your iPhone,the others are analog.get one and quit complaining about the other iPhone interfaces that you have bought. 5 stars all the way.

When this arrived I unpacked it,plugged it in,downloaded the amp and clicked on my Garage Band and to my amazement it worked instantly.(5mins)easy to learn even without downloading the tutorial from Apple.Kudos to Musicians friend for putting up with all of the interfaces which I tried and returned.I am keeping this one.The best of the iPhone interfaces out there.Trust me,buy this one FIRST and avoid brain damage.This is compatable with garage band,the suggested amp download,my mustang III amp and amplitube from fender, and I am certain it will be compatable with things I have not tried yet,more on that later.this iRiffport is irreplaceable for my home studio.

I use the iRiff Port with the brilliant Gallien Krueger bass amp app and a pair of Ultrasone Pro 900 headphones...wow! It sounds amazing! If you play bass in any kind of decent cover band or do fill-ins etc this is the only way to go. I also use the line-out to a powered 12inch cab and voila, an AWESOME sounding practice amp. Bear in mind (note to negative reviewers) that the app is where the volume and sound come from. Some apps are designed for the headphone-out jack. Iriff wisely uses the much better multi pin output. If the sound is poor change the app!

This is an excellent product that works with no feedback or static. The sound is clear. The only problem I had was I did not read the directions and had the headphone plugged in the wrong jack. Goes next to guitar. I will say this volume will be lower on low output pickups but high quality pickups sound can get really loud. Works great with Garageband and Amp Kit for I phone.

For the money, this is the best interface for the iDevice. Using the digital connector produces a clean sound unlike headphone jack interfaces. Despite the earlier reviewer, I haven't had any issues with volume as there is an onboard mixer in both JamUp and PocketGK to balance the mix. Theres no power input so you'll be running off the iDevice battery. It's also a glaring white cable, something I'd wish they made in black. The cable is light but the connection is robust enough to handle a gig if needed. The line out is perfect for running into a DI box and into the PA. The iriffport is the primary way I practice these days too. Bass, iPad, iRiffport. Headphones. What else does one need?

Overall, this is a really nice unit for electric or acoustic guitar input. It is sturdy and is well made. The sound quality I am getting from my guitar is superb.
Hi quality sound and very easy to use. The output at the connection end works great when connected to a PA for playback. I have not experienced any latency issues. When using GarageBand, use the guitar amp settings for electric and the mic settings for acoustics with a preamp. My acoustic was extremely clean and clear when set up this way. One thing I have found out is that I am not able to get a mic to work using this device, even when the 1/4 jack is plugged into a preamp with XLR input. That was disappointing.
The cord could be about 2 feet longer. I believe it is 6 feet.

I love it.
The best guitar interface out there. Zero latency and it uses the digital input of your iPad or iPod NOT the microphone input which may cause feedback issues.
It's a little more expensive but it's better than getting feedback and latency that many other adapters give you

I really wanted this to work but wow what a disappointment, for the cost of cable length could be longer, works on iPhone4S but doesnt work on my 3GS phone but what bugs me is the volume I hear with headphones for a clean guitar setting could be much louder, iPhone music player is 10x louder than this device and app so I dont understand why the guitar volume is like little mouse. What I am still yearning for is something that is really is all in one solution for practicing, so I still will use my IPhone and a multi effects processor to practice to get that quality of sound and volume I can get inspired playing this device is uninspiring so save your money and time go with a dedicated MEGP not anything i for the time being.
I returned my unit for a refund, too bad I cant get the money back for the app...
plugs into my iPhone 4S but doesnt work on my iPhone 3GS, works with the Pocket Amp but not with Multi Track DAW which I really wanted it too. Cable is short for the price I would have expected more in the length.
Appears to be of good quality, white cable, nice secure connections fancy design.
Not a good value for me considering the high price doesnt work for my application.
