OVERVIEW

Show your passion for recording with this limited edition vintage white AudioBox USB audio interface. Now this popular recording system comes in a stylish white color design, but only for a limited engagement. Show your passion for music and recording with this limited edition audio interface from Presonus.

The PreSonus AudioBox USB 2x2 USB recording system is an excellent solution for achieving high-quality, professional-sounding recordings no matter where you are. The AudioBox USB is a USB bus-powered audio recording interface loaded with 2 microphone/instrument inputs with 48V phantom power, 2 balanced TRS outputs, and MIDI I/O so you can stay portable without sacrificing your sound. The AudioBox USB also comes with Studio One Artist music creation and production software which has the same platform and intuitive interface as Studio One Pro but with an unlimited track count so you can start recording right out of the box.

PreSonus Audio has won numerous awards for designing quality microphone preamplifiers for all price levels. The AudioBox USB is loaded with preamps that deliver high headroom, low noise, and high gain to give you pure, full, and rich sound. Most USB recording devices operate at a 16-bit sample rate and use converters with dynamic ranges of less than 90dB which gives you a pinched and relatively small sound. The AudioBox USB, however, uses professional-grade analog to digital converters with a dynamic range of 102dB and 24-bit sample rate so that the digital conversion is big, quiet, and musical, making it one of the best sounding USB bus-powered interface on the market.

The AudioBox USB is bus-powered giving you the flexibility you need with no wall warts, line lumps, or power cables. Just plug in to a powered USB port and you are ready to record. The AudioBox USB is housed in an all-metal chassis with metal knobs able to withstand the rigors of travel and your touring adventures. Just toss the AudioBox USB in your laptop bag and mobilize your music creation and production. Whether you're recording your shows, creating a mix on the plane, or writing songs in your hotel room, the AudioBox is ready to go.

Same recording power, in a limited edition color.

I am an experienced Guitar Player, but a novice when it comes to recording. I am delving into the world of Garageband, and needed an Audio Interface for home. The Presonus AudioBox was a unit I looked at, and considered purchasing. When I saw it come up as the Stupid Deal of the Day, I knew I would be stupid not to buy it, so I did. This has worked exactly as advertised. I simply plugged it into my MacBook Pro and it worked like a charm.

The controls are very straightforward and easy to understand. I really like the mix feature so I can mix the signal level from my guitar with the level of the sound source from my computer and hear more of me when I needed, or less if needed. I was also surprised that it worked with any sound source from my Mac, not just Garageband. So if I am jamming to iTunes, or a YouTube video, I could hear it and mix it with my guitar input. All I had to do was set the output setting of my MacBook Pro to the AudioBox, and everything played through it.

The sound quality is great! This has really opened up a new world for me as a guitar player.

I bought this interface last July (2013) and it was working great! Until for some random reason it started giving me ridiculous problems. In playback of my recordings you can hear a "zzzzzzz" sound and also a "hiss" sound at around 5k up to infinity. You will also hear crackles and pops and other random noises in your headphones ALL THE TIME! Even if you don't have anything plugged in except for your headphones you will still hear it! Oh and hear comes the bad part... I sent it back to Presonus to get fixed TWICE and they didn't fix a single thing! I will never buy a Presonus product again!

Comments about PreSonus AudioBox USB Limited Edition:

The audiobox is simple to set up, sounds great and comes with killer software. I can build my own backing tracks from the tons of included virtual instruments and create beats to match what I am playing in the midi samples. Just double click on the track and plug in the hits you want, where you want them, or take a midi loop and edit the hits as you like. With a little more practice this will be so easy its scary.

Replaced unit with a 3 year old unit that started to have some white noise issues. Very pleased with duarability and ease of use. I bought 2 of them while they were on sale so that I had a backup down the road if needed.

My laptop has windows 8.1 and the Presonus installed flawlessly. The Studio One was a learning curve coming from Samplitude 11.5, but is doing a fine job.

Got this audio interface for the SDOTD and it was worth every penny! Extremely easy to set up and use with WIndows 7. Just download the drivers from the link they give you and you should have no issue at all! And the fact that it came with Studio One Artist saved me time and money from having to purchase another DAW. Love it!

I had no problems with the level controls being overly sensitive as many have complained about on the "blue" model of this device. Maybe Presonus corrected this flaw on this unit. Had no driver or compatibility problems loading into my 10 year old Sony Vaio laptop running XP. It worked immediately with Adobe Audition. Didn't try the bundled software. No hums, buzzes or clicks, just cleanly gets microphones into a computer.
