Okay I've setup my Presonus Eris 4.5 Studio Monitors and have ran them for a couple of days and I just have to say AWESOME! These speakers have more than the power I need, are state of the art, AND I can hear all the low end I need CLEARLY and with plenty of headroom/power/volume. Affordable and perfect for my home studio setup, the perfect match for my Audiobox and Studio 1 Professional!

Comments about PreSonus Eris 4.5 High-Definition 2-Way 4.5" Nearfield Studio Monitor Pair:

First of all remember that these are not high end studio quality monitors. You won't get that for this money. I don't believe that is the intention here anyway,I think these are intended to be an inexpensive, quick set up pair for casual use or a small quick studio set up. Having said that ,I like these a lot, for the money you can't go wrong. They sound pretty darn good overall, just don't be expecting miracles here.I have a pair of Yamaha's that blow these away, but they're three times the price. Drum tracks sound great, bass is a little on the weak side, but hey what do you expect from a 4.5 inch speaker? Nice mids, but the real high end gets just a little bit squonky, but that's easy enough to compensate for. If you have a limited budget and your looking for an inexpensive set of monitors or just getting into recording then you really should consider these.

Comments about PreSonus Eris 4.5 High-Definition 2-Way 4.5" Nearfield Studio Monitor Pair:

Like the title of this review depicts; these monitors are definitely worth the investment. I coordinated buying a high end gaming computer with dual monitors to start my experience in home recording. I went with these because they were about 100$ under my budget and i really am thanking the guy that sold me on these things at my local samash. They are very accurate and flat sounding which is what i was going for because, if you have any sense of sound, you can make up for the flat/dull sound at the mixer end of your recording software. All in all i just like the response these speakers have to be so little, and after recording, and taking it to a car or to a friends house where they have a stereo with eq on it, my recordings sound like a million$... I'm definitely going with the big brother shortly and adding the sub so i can have an all "presonus" monitor rig to record through.

Comments about PreSonus Eris 4.5 High-Definition 2-Way 4.5" Nearfield Studio Monitor Pair:

I borrowed a friend's E5's before I bought these. These do lack a little low end compared to the E5's but I'm glad I bought them anyway. In my opinion they're better than the E5's in terms of using them as computer speakers as well. The selling feature to me was the volume control and the front on/off switch, both of which feel like high-quality parts.

I've only owned these speakers for about 2 or 3 weeks, but I still really like them. Mixing does sound flatter than what I was using before too (old Bose speakers with the Lapai amp).

Comments about PreSonus Eris 4.5 High-Definition 2-Way 4.5" Nearfield Studio Monitor Pair:

I bought a pair of these about 3 yrs ago. at that time they were on sale for about 50-75 less then now. I have the larger pair of Eris E8's and at first I would just use these little speakers to A/B my mixes against the E8's. now I use these lil speakers 90% of the time as they sound great and take up very lil space on my desk. I moved the E8's and Temor 10 sub to a rolling cart. I used to think the 4.5's sounded thin (they do lack bass), but I recently moved my studio into a much larger space and added some strategic acoustic foam, and man the sound quality improved a lot! These aren't the only studio monitors i have used FYI, so I do have experiences with other monitor setups. These speakers look good, are very simple to use, cheap, and reliable.....I would definitely recommend them to friends and would buy another pair if these got ruined.

Comments about PreSonus Eris 4.5 High-Definition 2-Way 4.5" Nearfield Studio Monitor Pair:

The clarity and definition on these speakers is truly incredible. I'm able to hear subtle layers on the on songs I've been listening to for years but never noticed before. These are SO much better than the JBL speakers, don't even bother with those. I'm refreshed and impressed by quality of these at this price point. These speakers are proof that sometimes, you get more than you pay for.
