OVERVIEW

Ultra-compact, budget-priced 2-way monitor speakers.

When it's time to replace those cheap "computer" speakers with serious 2-way professional studio monitors, you're ready for the Eris E4.5. With Kevlar low frequency transducers, low-mass silk-dome tweeters, responsive Class AB amplification, and professional acoustic-adjustment controls, the compact Eris E5 represents an outstanding value in its class. It includes RF shielding, current-output limiting, over-temperature protection, and subsonic protection, and unlike comparably priced studio monitors, it has controls for simulating different listening environments and flattening frequency response to enable accurate mixing.

FEATURES
  • 4.5-inch Kevlar low-frequency transducer
  • 1-inch (25 mm), ultra-low-mass, silk-dome, high-frequency transducer
  • 50 Watt, Class D biamplification
  • Midrange, high frequency, high-pass and Acoustic Space settings for accurate mixing contour
  • RF interference, output current limiting, over-temperature, transient, and subsonic protection

The perfect monitors for small room studios. Order a pair today!

Comments about PreSonus Eris 4.5 High-Definition 2-Way 4.5" Nearfield Studio Monitors:

I borrowed a friend's E5's before I bought these. These do lack a little low end compared to the E5's but I'm glad I bought them anyway. In my opinion they're better than the E5's in terms of using them as computer speakers as well. The selling feature to me was the volume control and the front on/off switch, both of which feel like high-quality parts.

I've only owned these speakers for about 2 or 3 weeks, but I still really like them. Mixing does sound flatter than what I was using before too (old Bose speakers with the Lapai amp).

Comments about PreSonus Eris 4.5 High-Definition 2-Way 4.5" Nearfield Studio Monitors:

First of all remember that these are not high end studio quality monitors. You won't get that for this money. I don't believe that is the intention here anyway,I think these are intended to be an inexpensive, quick set up pair for casual use or a small quick studio set up. Having said that ,I like these a lot, for the money you can't go wrong. They sound pretty darn good overall, just don't be expecting miracles here.I have a pair of Yamaha's that blow these away, but they're three times the price. Drum tracks sound great, bass is a little on the weak side, but hey what do you expect from a 4.5 inch speaker? Nice mids, but the real high end gets just a little bit squonky, but that's easy enough to compensate for. If you have a limited budget and your looking for an inexpensive set of monitors or just getting into recording then you really should consider these.

Okay I've setup my Presonus Eris 4.5 Studio Monitors and have ran them for a couple of days and I just have to say AWESOME! These speakers have more than the power I need, are state of the art, AND I can hear all the low end I need CLEARLY and with plenty of headroom/power/volume. Affordable and perfect for my home studio setup, the perfect match for my Audiobox and Studio 1 Professional!
