Comments about PreSonus Studio One 2.0 Professional:
This program blows Protools away, period. I used audio files that where recorded last year with protools to remix my friends cd. Mixing the songs with SOv2 was so much easier, and the sound I got was 10 times better after spending less than half the time mixing them. The program includes tons of great sounding fx, compressors, limiters, eq's, and more. There is a mastering section in the program, (you don't get that with Protools). You can upload your cd project directy to a cd publish company. You also get a version of Melodyne pitch correction software which works very well. I have not learned half of what this program can do in the 6 months i have had it, but the on-line tutorials have been a huge help with a few of the things I have wanted to learn. This program is good enough to be used in a professional studio if there where any pro guys willing to try it out. Download the free trial version and spend some time learning to use it. It may be the best investment you ever make for your home studio..!

Comments about PreSonus Studio One 2.0 Professional:
Semi-Pro. Lets be precisce.
Goodbye Logic. I'll miss the tight hardware intergration.
Here's what I wont miss. No single input to multiple
tracks. Why? I dont get it.
In S1 Artist I can record my single guitar input to
as many tracks my cpu can handle.
What U wind up with is a really fat textured sound.
Plus its.....Logical. It sounds better than Apples
Logic. I wont be able to use my apple remote to
control S1, but I also wont be so frustrated getting
a good sound FAST and easy. I'm getting a Studio
Live 16 mixer ASAP. You get Pro with as well. Hook it up to your Femputer and, bingo! your outta the
box. That rocks.
as well.

Comments about PreSonus Studio One 2.0 Professional:
This is the best DAW I have used and I have used them all. Sure the others have their uses and some of them have far prettier plug-ins - If it's pretty plug-ins your after then I'd advise you to look elsewhere. If by chance you are SERIOUS about your sound, then buy StudioOne 2 and you have just scored the motherload. You will start to lead and not follow, your sound will elevate above the competition and your mixes, well, let's just say that those old demo recordings will be sounding just a bit too 'demo' to release if you get my drift! There is one downside though, you're going to want to re-do your album once you start with S1(2)Pro... But believe me, it's worth it.
Now for the geeks out there:
The beats you can create, tweak and manipulate in this software will blow your mind. You can line up, copy, paste, set your channel, set your compression levels, tweak, tweak again and then when you are happy with a mix, run the lot through the mastering section of the software!!! Mindblowing. The Multiband Comp is better than most 'Waves' ones. Now that PreSonus have added SoftTubes Saturation it competes with PT's 'Heat' and IMHO beats it hands down.
Professionals of the world really need to look seriously now at this software - It's creeping up the league tables and one day it will be the number one. The sensible will get in early.
Comments about PreSonus Studio One 2.0 Professional:
I have used Pro Tools and this software blows everything else away.
Well all I can say is Wow! The new version of Studio One 2 by Presonus is remarkable. Not only does it encompass the most complete array of filters and effects in the recording stage and all of the intricate tools needed in high quality mastering, but they have achieved this design with such ease of use. When you make any changes to a mix even once you have embedded it in the mastering stage, any and all of the changes are automatically adjusted while still leaving you individual parameters that you may prefer. I also have noticed that it is easy on the percentage of CPU processing consumption. Thanks to everyone at Presonus I can say I am in love with my new studio.
This product is a great value especially with all of it's new features.
