Great mixer, I finally made the switch from my trusty Mackie 1604 to this digital board. I even waited until I loved it before I sold all of my analog Mackie (trusted) mixer boards.
I immediately noticed the sound quality. Wow! It's like I no longer need to go around isolating ground loop hums or something. I guess it's the connectors, and each channel is isolated or something. In any case, EVERYTHING sounds better.
If this is your first digital board, this is a great way to go. Reason being it's layered out like an analog board so the learning curve is short.
If you are a seasoned veteran at using digital boards, you may want to check out the Behringer X32 or the Presonus 24 or 32. I think that I should've saved up my money and got the Presonus 24 since I already ran out of inputs - grin.
Oh.. and this board integrates VERY well with the excellent Presonus Studio One Pro 2.6 DAW. It's very user friendly as well. Also, the Capture software is EXCELLENT!
I can tell that in a year, I'll probably get the Behringer X32 as well as the S16 snakes unless Presonus comes out with something that has motorized faders, digital input control to use these types of S16 snakes. However, for now, I'm one happy man with this being my first digital mixer.
It is truly AWESOME! AND INEXPENSIVE! Let your analog mixers go... just do it!
