Solid Reliable Amp

To sum it up, this amp is relatively quiet (never a hum), powerful, transparent in sound and completely reliable.     If you need to scrimp on equipment, it's best to at least have the basics like a good power amp to provide a solid foundation for your system and wait on some other bells and whistles until your funds allow.

I bought this amp about 10 years ago and use it currently when I perform solo as a guitarist/vocalist. I have used it with bands to power the mains and also as a DJ to power the high end and sometimes the full range for my dj system.     I use it with a Mackie mixer and some JBL Eon speakers.

I knocked off 1 point only because the cooling fan does make some sound though it is not really enough to be any problem.     Performing live it is still quiet enough so that the fan noise goes unnoticed.     Also it is a large amp so you should check on the depth of your case/rack.     It needs to go on the bottom of the rack and be supported on the bottom.     Plugging in the cables can be a problem due to the amps depth.     I made custom cords for the inputs so I could deal with this problem.     The amp has worked flawlessly for me for years, proving more reliable than even my 2 Yamaha amps (though I still think highly of Yamaha).I have to give this amp a solid 9 out of 10.     If mine crapped out tomorrow I would buy another QSC.

Never a problem- just solid reliable performance.     Seems very powerful too for it's rating in my opinion.

I've bought and used much more equipment in my time than most part time professionals and have always found that buying good reliable equipment is worth the extra cost over more bargain level stuff.     This QSC amp has always been a rock solid part of several of my systems and uses.

This guy has done me a lot of service in the month I've had it. Lots of headroom and great sound. I highly recommend this unit. I use it for my PA system- I used to have a Crate 150 watt power head which I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy, and a buddy of mine and I got a hold of some speakers for really cheap, so we got this unit and are extremely satisfied.

This thing thumps .. Playing live, sm-med bars etc., I run a sans amp .. tech 21 bass driver into this amp. Then out to an Avatar 2-10 and an Aguilar 1-12 .. (I also run the tech's parallel out through a distortion/effects pedal into 1-12 Hartke) And the fact that it's fallen out of the back of a volkswagen into the snow and still (after five years of similar delicate treatment) works every time ... (it got too hot to touch at an outdoor thing once, but still made a joyful noise) inspires me to encourage you to buy one of these ... It is heavy though ... but sounds great. And that's why we play ..

Almost Perfect...

I'm a mobile DJ/Karaoke guy who puts this thing through the ringer. Its very reliable in the sense that it always gets through the show. I've had to tweak the pot a few times though. I don't know why but I've had problems with having to turn the dial a few times before a show to get the right channel to work. This is my second amp (first one was an 850) and the first had the same problem. Its also heavy and runs hot and is very long for my road case (barely fits) But, all in all I still give it a 4 for the sound it produces and the reliability. Thats the most important thing.

I bought my RMX 1450 maybe 4 or 5 years ago, slightly used. I use it for everything. Powers Peavey DJS4's and/or PR15's, (and monitors sometimes) for my band and also my DJ/Karaoke business. I run it stereo with the gains wide open always. The amp really thumps and has been 100% reliable.
