The RMX amps require only 2 rackspaces and feature 1/4" TRS, XLR, and barrier strip balance inputs; binding post and Neutrik Speakon outputs; front-mounted gain controls for easy access; independent and defeatable clip limiters; selectable low-frequency filters (30Hz or 50Hz) that protect speakers and increase headroom; signal and clip LED indicators; independent DC and thermal overload protection on each channel; variable-speed fan. The RMX850 delivers per channel: 200W @ 8 ohms, 300W @ 4 ohms, 430W @ 2 ohms. Bridge mono: 600W @ 8 ohms, 830W @ 4 ohms. 3-year warranty.

I own two of the RMX850's for 5 years now, and they sound just as good as the day I bought them. Never had ANY problems or letdowns, nothing. Truly a product for life, and a customer for life to!!I use them from DJing to home use, on to speaker testing. These things are strong right to clip, and will play at light clip all day long. Besides, there built like a tank!!

What clip limiters? This blew a good speaker

This thing kicks. I have had it for 2 years and have had no problem. I have tested it as a main driver, monitor driver, and sub driver and it has passed them all with flying colors. It has amazing clarity, great punch, and keeps on going under harsh conditions. I have ran it with the clip limiter flashing full and it won't shut off. Great feature is the selectors on the back, which allow you to switch filter settings and mode settings. This is a great amp. thanks QSC for producing a great amp at such an affordable price. I bought this amp for powering our monitors in our band, I was so impressed with it I replaced one of my DJ amps with this one. Its not overly powerful, however the sound is extremely clean and punchy! I am going to buy 2 of the the RMX 2450 to power my new Peavey duel 18" subs I just bought! Can't wait to get them....Buy this amp you wont regret it!!

I bought a QSC RMX 1450 for my sub in my home theater set up after using them on the road in a few bands over the years, I never had a QSC amp fail in any way or any time so it seemed a logical choice, and when I mated that to a Sound Splinter PL-p18" driver the results were earthshaking, pun intended, An awesome amp at a great price, I hope my home insurance covers damage from low freq!!

When I bought this amp, I also bought along a pair of the dual 15 jrx 125 jbl speakers, and man this amp really pushes these things hard, I run it like 6 hours a gig at high volume since I'm a dj and these thing is a workhorse, this thing just wont give up on you, this qsc is made out of good quality, but it is a quite heavy amp. I dj'd with this setup for about a 200 people crowd and it did just fine, and I barely clip it and it will still go all night long clipping.

I've been a fan of the Crown amplifiers (macro-tech's in paticullar) for many years, but my bassist head blow out and needed another amp. I told him to pick up a RMX850 and a Ampeg preamp to power his JBL 15" and 18" cabinets. We ran it bridged mono for about a week and it had major over-heating and clipping problems. I guess this unit doesn't like 4 ohms bridged, so we switched to stereo and although the power amp was only pushing 200 watts a side @ 8ohms, he was able to obtain more volume, weird. Then about a week ago, he started to get this horrible crackling sound from his setup during a rehersal. After about 10 mins of that horrible sound, th amp stop making noise...it died. We called up QSC and told them our situation. They were very kind giving us all the info we needed to get the unit repaired and it's in the shop right now getting serviced for free. I felt that we should of moved to either a crown CE series or the QSC PLX series. This amp sucks, and I've seen 350W ampeg amps push a bass rig to inside rattling goodness. Why can't a 850W do the same thing? I learned my lesson. Buy bass gear to run bass gear; buy PA power amps to power PA gear. When we get it back, we'll probably sell it and save up for a SVT 4 pro. Anyways, I hope this helps.

I run a weekly electronic music night. I use this amp to power 4 15s and 2 18s, it works hard every show. It has never over heated or shut off. It lacks in power for my use but has been relyable for every show. It does clip rather easily, but this could be solved with more power. Either way the amount of sound I can squeeze out of this amp is awesome. I have been inspired to make a purchase of a qsc amp already in shipment.

I have two 850 and one 1450. They do have a hum noise when you use more than one amp in your system. I learned the hard way.
