OVERVIEW

A stylish compact amp with a built-in iOS interface for playing and practicing anywhere.

Combining great COSM® guitar tones, iOS interfacing, and a quality 2.1 Channel audio system, the CUBE Lite Guitar Amplifier lets you play and record at home along with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Connect your iOS device to the i-CUBE LINK jack and launch the free CUBE JAM app, then riff along with backing tracks and record your playing to share your music and archive song ideas. With stereo speakers and an integrated subwoofer, you’ll enjoy rich, satisfying sound reproduction for both guitar playing and casual music listening. And with an attractive look that blends with any home décor, the CUBE Lite Guitar Amplifier can occupy a permanent spot in your living space, always at the ready when you want to plug in and jam.

Killer Guitar Tones
The CUBE Lite Guitar Amplifier provides three great COSM tones—JC CLEAN, CRUNCH, and EXTREME—giving you a wide range of sounds for playing any style of music. Reverb and chorus effects are onboard as well, with true stereo performance for a wide, expansive sound.

2.1 Channel Audio System For Impressive Sound
Equipped with stereo speakers and an integrated subwoofer, the CUBE Lite’s powerful 2.1 Channel audio system delivers a rich, full sound that belies the amp’s compact footprint. When you want to practice silently, just plug in a set of headphones to mute the onboard speakers.

Easy iOS Device Integration with i-CUBE LINK
With the newly developed i-CUBE LINK interface, the CUBE Lite Guitar Amplifier lets you integrate your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with your axe in a familiar and satisfying way—through a real amp with great tone. Other interfaces require bulky, specialized add-ons to plug your guitar direct into the iOS device, resulting in a clumsy, inconvenient playing experience. With i-CUBE LINK, you just connect to your device’s audio jack with the included cable, then blend the COSM tones and iOS audio together at the amp with simple, intuitive controls. The versatile i-CUBE LINK jack can also be used as a simple stereo input, enabling you to hook up nearly any music player or audio device and play it through the CUBE Lite.

CUBE JAM App
The free Roland CUBE JAM app turns your iOS device into a fun command center for jamming, recording, and learning. Play back commercial songs and minus-one tracks through the CUBE Lite via i-CUBE LINK, and riff along for hours with awesome COSM tones. CUBE JAM also records audio through the i-CUBE LINK connection, allowing you to easily capture your jams. After you’re done recording, you can adjust the volume of your guitar and backing music independently, then export your mix to a 16-bit/44.1kHz WAV file. The app also includes great tools for music practice, including independent speed and pitch adjustment of audio playback, Center Cancel to remove solos and create your own jam tracks, and more.

Direct Mode
Normally, recording from the CUBE Lite Guitar Amplifier into CUBE JAM or another app captures the sound as you hear it, with the COSM tone applied. Activating the CUBE Lite’s Direct Mode feature lets you capture dry guitar sounds while monitoring with the COSM sound. Recording dry tracks in this way gives you the option to experiment later by “re-amping” with any guitar app of your choice. Direct Mode also allows you to use real-time guitar processing in any app, monitoring the live output with the CUBE Lite.

Stylish Design For Modern Living Spaces
Offering an appearance more like a consumer audio system than a typical rugged-look guitar amp, the CUBE Lite blends in seamlessly with any home living space. In addition to being a great guitar amp, it also doubles as a high-quality playback system for your digital music library.

Nice practice or project recording amp, but had a strong unpleasant odor upon unpacking. It is the grill cloth, maybe it will fade away as it is aired out.

Comments about Roland Cube Lite 10W Guitar Combo Amp:

Do you ever wonder why you can't quite achieve the tone of your favorite guitarist? You listen to the record, and you go to your amp and try to dial it in, but it's never quite right. If you're playing through a 40W amp, and the speakers of the recording are playing through 10W computer speakers, you'll never get there. This 10W amp, however, does just the trick. Paired with a pedal EQ, you'll now be able to get closer to your hero--whoever that may be--and those close to you won't be bothered while you're attempting to do so!

Comments about Roland Cube Lite 10W Guitar Combo Amp:

Very convient for practice. Tones are useable. looks like a radio sitting on the coffee table so i don't have to move it to the studio when i want to play. plug in the pod or pad and practice or just for fun. I had it for a week now and used it every day. It's not real loud with single coils but that's not what it's for anyway. If you just want something that looks good, is suffient for practice, is very convient, and doubles for just listening, this fits the bill nicely. I like it.

Comments about Roland Cube Lite 10W Guitar Combo Amp:

Expected to purchase a Line6- tried every tiny amp I could plug in to. I knew what the Line 6 Spider15 had to offer- great range of effects and amp modeling in a small package.

I wanted something that sounded like a real amp without looking like a mid-large amp sitting on the floor. I came across the Roland CUBELite and loved the balance of tone, features and packaging.

It looks like a countertop radio, and in fact works great doubling as a powered speaker for my cell phone on the end table in my living room.

It is not the most diverse clean sound, but it has two relative overdrive channels, and both sound great. The reverb is solid- the chorus is adequate. Unfortunately you can't use them both at the same time, but this is forgiveable in a tiny amp (about the size of a six pack).

IN the end, the Line6 is more expressive in tone and features, but for a discrete LR amp, I'd take this one over the Spider most any day. Love it!

Comments about Roland Cube Lite 10W Guitar Combo Amp:

I've had this little amp for a few days now, and I must admit I am more impressed than I thought I'd be. I thought it would be useful as an amp, but not really have a good tone. Well, my readers, I am very surprised, yet pleased to inform you that it is very easy to dial up many useful and extremely pleasant tones with this amp. Using an hss strat style guitar that I've installed active pickups in, most small inexpensive practice amps are lacking "quality" sound. Not this little guy. Don't get me wrong, this is no tube stack, for bedroom practicing I wouldn't trade it for any other. The I cube jack is awesome not only for the cube jam app, but also works fine with the drum app on my I phone for shredding. If you're looking for an amp to gig, or practice with a band then look elsewhere, if you're looking for a good sounding solo practice amp then don't hesitate, pull the trigger, this is it!
