I have owned this system since Nov 2008 and have been playing guitar for 44 years. I play contemporary Americana, classic Rock and blues at least once a week with my longtime musical conferates. I have a modest (13 classic Gibsons and Fenders) collection of guitars and am a tube amp tweaker (love to get inside 'em and swap caps out etc.) This is a great wireless value and you should not be deterred by negative reviews here. If you have a weak battery, the signal will drop out, do goofy things with your tone and there will be a lot of noise. New battery, problem solved. True, the transmitter is cheap plastic but I've had no problems yet. No problems with the cable either. If I ever do have, I will straightwire an instrument cable in it an be done with it. There is a small boost in the treble levels when using this unit but I just roll it back on the guitars and keep on rockin'. It could possibly be tweaked out with the 2 controls on the base unit but it's such a small inconvenience that I haven't taken the time to mess with it. I am extremely pleased with this purchase and would not hesitate to repeat it. I hope this helps.

I have had this a week now. Tweaking the gain gets it working without popping and hissing but it is really inconsistent and cuts out. I use the guitar player rig and do not have these problems. The transmitter is plastic junk with a flimsy antenna. Really not pleased. Save your money on this one.

Great unit for a great price!

By Will-d25E.

from Ridgeley, WV

I've owned this for close to a year now and I haven't had a single problem with it yet! I don't notice any change in tone when using this - just a crisp, clear signal coming through the amp! I have used it several times playing in various venues and I have yet to encounter any signal interference or unwanted noise! With the Sennheiser Freeport you get all of the bang of the pricier units for a lot of your money!

Nice wireless

By Rocki006

from Bay City & Chicago

I got this thing for Christmas 2007, and have used it a few times. I really like how I can be cable free and be able to move especially in tight quarters (like a dorm room). The complants I have seen on here are kind of rediculous. The connecter from the pack to guitar works great. Yeah, the pack is plastic, but that makes it light. hook it on to your strap with a wristband and you should be good. The receiver works great! I get popping only when it is in my back pocket. Again, hook it to the strap and no problems. Buy it! You'll be sure to enjoy what you can do with it!

Best wireless for the money

By Iroc

from Michigan

I have owned this product since Christmas and it has been great! I play in two bands bass and guitar. As with any wireless from a distance it will make a slight delay in the signal (100ft or more). It also goes through batteries pretty quick but if you take out the battery after playing they last much longer. Other reviews say it looks cheap but don't be fooled. I dropped this thing off of my bass full stack and it smashed on the floor (about 5 feet). The power light shifted inside slightly but besides that everything works like a champ! I would recommend this product to anyone. Compared to the wireless bugs that my fellow guitarists have, it's cheaper, no squeal and more features. 4 channels and a squelch!

Replaced the 1/4

By Zoetic

from Florida

Decent price for the quality. Sound is good. I had a problem with the 1/4" jack that plugs in to the guitar. I was as if the diameter of the plug was just a hair too small. Any small movement of the cord would make the plug loose contact in the guitar's jack and make a horrible crackling noise. I bought a new metal jack, cut off the molded plastic jack and soldered the new one on. Works fine now. This thing goes through nine volt batteries pretty fast. I bought a couple rechargeables.

THE CABLE IS A PROBLEM

By ZiQp.E.Fo

from Midwest

This wireless sounds great. I pride myself with an ear towards tone and I was able to dial this in well with the gain and squelch. But the cable from guitar to the transmitter is horrible! It shorts out and then the cost to replace it from Senn. is ridiculous.I would NOT buy this again.

I own 2 of these, they are great!

By cjsayler

from North Dakota

I bought one to help remove the wire clutter on stage and found it to work so well for the money, I bought a second one! I use one for my electric and the other for my acoustic and have never had a single problem with either. The sound is crystal clear and you have to practically travel out of ear range before it cuts out. My only complaint is the transmitter looks like it's made out of cheap plastic but so far it has really held up.

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!

By Taylor Martin

from Chambersburg, Pa

I walked back back back back back back...i kept on walking roughly 1000 ft away from my amp sitting on my back porch and finally after cresting a hill in my neighbors cornfield i no longer heard the connection!!! i will NEVER need to play that far away from my amp EVER!...it is just perfect for any musicians need :)...PUT IT IN THE CART...AND BUY IT!!

GREAT!!!

By Coty Richardson

from new castle, in.

I was looking for a wireless system to use with my band and I have no regrets choosing this one. Although a little steep in price, it beats all other cheaper ones and if you have the money dont think twice. I gave it a "4" on quality because the transmitter seems like it could break easily (cheap plastic) but so far has held up nicely. battery life is exceptional. Great product
