Closed-back, around-the-ear stereo headphones featuring powerful bass reproduction.

Sennheiser's HD 202 II headphones are inexpensive DJ headphones with a closed, dynamic, semi-circumaural stereo design. Specially constructed damping material ensures powerful bass response and combine with its lightweight turbine diaphragms to provide clear, crisp bass as featured in much of today's rhythm-driven music. Its surprisingly powerful neodymium magnets and lightweight diaphragms keep you from losing sound quality at higher levels.

The ultra-lightweight construction and leatherette ear cushions mean you can wear your HD 202 II's for extended periods of time without killing your ears.
If you desire, the earcups can be removed from the headband, and it comes with a convenient belt clip for adjusting the cable length when you're listening on the go.

Features:

The adaptor 3.5/6.3mm (1/4") stereo jack plug is nice and the cord take-up belt clip is really nice. These head phones come with very long cords.

Quality:

I was in line by myself for Black Friday last week for 11 hours. I didn't know anyone so I had these headphones on most of the time. The leatherette cushions for your ears and on top of your head were not uncomfortable in any sort of way at any point of those 11 hours. Even the next day I did not have any sores around my ears or on my head. The headphones adjust very nicely to my head. The sound is great. The only thing I would criticize is the bass might not be as powerful as described. I mean, they sound great and they hit low frequencies. Just don't get too thrown off by the description.

Value:

I wouldn't say this if it wasn't true. Worth every penny. I have more expensive headphones. But for the price? and the quality you get? Yeah, I honestly take my Sennheisers everywhere I go.

Overall:

Overall I'm buying another pair of these headphones just in case something were to happen to the pair I use now. I'm completely happy with my Sennheisers. I don't have a whole lot of money so these are a great find for me. In my opinion you get more than the price worth of quality.

So-So Headphones

Features:

I like the cord-clip.  It is very handy.

Quality:

Good quality for the price

Value:

I was going to say Good Value, but I double checked what I paid for these.  My cheaper JVCs work better for my usage.

Overall:

It's an okay product depending on what you are using if for. I use it for drum practice. I plug it into my metronome and laptop.  I wish it was louder and had a better bass. I tried my workout headphones....JVC HA-RX500 today and they work A LOT better!!  I will be using them from now on.  I will see if I can bear using the HD 202s for working out....especially since it has that clip.

If you are a drummer looking for ear phones to use for your Ipod/computer and jam, these maynot be for you.

Flimsy cord

Overall:

I bought these to be multifunctional.  Noise reduction is good - used  them for jamming with the mp3 player/metronome on the drums.  Sounds  great with my Line 6 POD with the guitar.  Also used them for listening  to music while mowing the lawn.  But the plug shorted out after a year.   Trimmed off the overmolded plastic to see if the plug could be fixed.   Cord uses a lightweight, flexible conductive material that just isn't  user repairable.  Soldering on a new plug to the existing wire is out.   All I could do is put a whole new cord on right up to the ear  speakers...but then I might as well junk them and buy some new ones.   I'm really on the fence whether I'm going to buy this model again.   Really want headphones with the highest NRR I can find, but they don't  seem to list those in the spec's.  In desperation I've even used regular  ear buds with noise suppression ear muffs over the top.  If was  functionable, but extremely uncomfortable.

Not outstanding, but great bang for the buck

I have had some really good and really bad headphones through the years and although these don't sound outstanding, for the price, you can't go wrong in my opinion!

I've been using these cans every now and then on location for video production when working at my college.  The pros are they are closed design and block out room noise.  They are also quit accurate in sound and offer both size adapter plugs at the end of the cable.

The cable may be long HOWEVER, it's not coil cord style and is quite thin...so be sure not to trip on it or you may break the connection.  At around 8 foot long in length, that cable is quite easy to get in the way but you can always shorten it up with some twist-ties or something.

I will be ordering 2 pairs of these in the future for my studio.

Very good headphones for the money

Overall:

These are not the best headphones, but they are VERY good for the money.  Yes, they are a little bass heavy, but only a little muddy.  The frequency response is excellent for this price range.  I have a much more expensive set of Sennheisers which are better, but they cost more.  I bought this set as a spare or extra for my home studio and they are very good.  Long cord which I like.  Comfortable to wear.  I wouldn't mix with them since I have a more expensive set but I am EXTREMELY pleased with this purchase.  I got them on sale and snatched them up.  Now that I have heard them in action, I would pay the everyday price for them.  Well worth the money!
