Good Mic

Comments about Shure C606N Vocal Microphone with 1/4" Connector:

This is a pretty good starter mic, especially for the price. There is pretty bad handling noise, but that is to be expected.

Comments about Shure C606N Vocal Microphone with 1/4" Connector:

I just received my Shure C606N. This is a great mic for the price. It is very close to a real Shure SM 58. The 1/4" supplied cord is also nice. It is great for plugging it into a guitar amp or any amp that only has 1/4" inputs. This mic is great for jam sessions or live performance. The only reason I would buy a more expensive mic would be for studio recording, etc...

Good mic and very affordable. I like the on/off switch and it is heavy and solid. The cord it comes with is nice too. A great buy!

Impartial Comparison, Shure c606n vs Senn e815sc

By Dave-xrKjL

from Texas

Comments about Shure C606N Vocal Microphone with 1/4" Connector:

Bought 2 Sennheiser e815sc's, then I received the Shure c606n. Compared them side by side for this review. Placed them on stands, side by side, plugged them in @ same levels, and turned it up. First thing I noticed is that the Shure was noticeably louder than the Sennheiser. The Senn sound was a bit richer, sounding "flat" through the vocal range. Both have on/off switches. The Shure had more punch in the mid- thru high-frequency range, which SHOULD allow the vocals to slice thru the other instruments as everything's turned up to performance volume. The Senn 815 needs more power to equal the volume of the Shure 606. The punch in the Shure's mid/high vocal range is good, if that's been a problem. Handling noise is not too bad, but it's there. Both were EXTREMELY good values for such a small amt of money! No mike stand adaptor was included with the Shure, though, so be sure to order a large rubber one. The Senn 815's was included, but it's plastic. If I buy another mike it WILL be another Shure 606.
