The finest in-ear personal monitors you can lavish on your ears.

The Shure E5 Sound Isolating Earphones are Shure's top-of-the-line model, offering the richest possible listening experience. Dual high-energy microspeakers capture the high and low frequencies, while an in-line electronic crossover separates these outputs. You can hear your music like never before. Subtle details are brought forward for a lush, complete listening experience.

In-ear design, using foam or flex sleeves, naturally blocks background noise. This allows lower listening volumes in loud environments. No batteries or extra equipment is needed for sound isolation.

Microspeakers are of Shure's highest-quality construction. Each earphone contains dual microspeakers, separating high- and low-frequency range; an in-line electronic crossover optimally separates these outputs, while a level attenuator allows comfortable listening levels for any high-output audio source.

    Personal Fit Kit

Because every ear is different, the earphones come with a pair of disposable foam sleeves, a pair of triple-flange sleeves, 3 pairs (small, medium, large) of flex sleeves, and 3 pairs (small, medium, large) of ultrasoft flex sleeves to ensure a personalized fit.

    Secure In-Ear Design

The soft, flexible sleeves in the Fit Kit gently contour the inside of the ear for a comfortable, secure fit.

    Memory-Fit Earphone Cables

Once formed, the E5c's cables retain their shape around the ear, allowing for a more convenient, secure fit. The E5c's cables pass behind the ear -- out of sight and out of the way -- to provide a more comfortable, discreet fit.

    Lightweight Construction

Weighing only 1.1 oz (31g), the E5c is lightweight and comfortable for any portable listening application.

    Earphones Carrying Case

The E5c comes with a stylish, compact carrying case. The case allows for an easy, tangle-free way to store your earphones.

Have had my E5's for over 4 years, (the same pair) and have never failed me. I sing full time Southern Gospel (Loud) and very energetic on stage. Sing every weekend 2 to 3 concerts (Fri,Sat & Sun). Only have to change foams sleeves each weekend and they are good to go. Sound is amazing! I use one ear monitor in left ear so I can also hear house mix. Great Product!! Buy them!!!

I bought a pair of the E5's last year and have had problems from the beginning. I was told that the dual drivers would protect against them blowing, but to my surprise, the driver in my left earpiece blew almost immediately. I had not been monitoring at any extreme levels, but they just went. I sent them back for repair (after much effort getting warranty help) and got what seemed like a new pair. Once again, they blew after a short time. I should have bought the E2's....

I've got a rock quartet that's not excessively loud, but even with two 15" floor wedges and a Bose PAS, I haven't been able to really hear myself sing in any detail.  I bought a pair of these from the drummer, and for the first time ever I can hear myself sing with total clarity.  In fact, if anything, I actually have a hard time hearing anything else-- including the drums, if you can believe that.  The sound quality is good, although I've not sampled tons of these, so I couldn't compare.  Sometimes my singing sounds more nasal than it does through the actual PA.  The design is good, although getting these to stay in your ear, with the wire looped over the top is a little tough sometimes.  They will occasionally work their way out of your ear canal, but if you feel that coming, you can nudge them back in.

I was very skeptical on using in ears but I decided to give them a try. The isolation is fantastic and the dual drivers really sound amazing. Its wierd to have these little ears in but they sound so huge!!!!! way better than using headphones!!!

Out of all the earphones I have ever used, the E5's have the loudest and clearest sound. I compared these E5's to some other earphones, and I found that the E5's have a longer, sturdier cable, great low end, and great sound reduction from outside noises. The only thing that could have been improved is the quality of the carrying case. It is a cheap plastic case. I would be curious to hear how the E3's compare to the E5's.
