Bought one for my project studio, and am totally satisfied. Nice and warm, great on vocals, acoustic guitar, percussion, nice as an additional room mic for drums. Excellent mic for the value...Shure is always good quality, and this is no exception.

I bought one of these last week, after years of prompting by engineer friends.  Worked it for two days on vox, dobro and acoustic guitar--and promptly ordered another.  Very nice clarity--but still captures a lot of substance and weight. Every bit as good as a U87 on dobro--and you could buy a good used car with the price difference. Put my AT 4033 and my AKG mike on ebay today, and I won't look back.  Hope this helps.

I've been using this mic now for a month or two now for a variety of applications, very versatile, very neutral great response from bass on the low end and great response with guitars, pianos, voice, very low noise, much superior to anything I've used to in the price range. The shock mount is also great it screws into the mic it self with very hearty threads is it doesn't move which is a plus, a really great mic in any price range. I prefer it over more expensive mics I have used over the years from AKG, or CAD ect. ect. solid mic; solid choice.

I am extremely pleased with this microphone because it makes my Larivee acoustic guitar SHINE! It really evenly captures the sound of the instrument. I haven't really tried too much with vocals, but I am impressed with the true response and lack of coloration with what I have done.
