Comments about Shure PGX14 Lavalier Wireless System:
I've been using 8 of these systems for over 4 years for teen theatre and they have been great. They hold up to all the abuse the actors have thrown at them and still sound great. These systems play well with others in that the frequencies can be changed when other performances are nearby. I would not recommend the WL93 Lav for loud stage performances but the systems can be purchased with more robust mic elements.

I have not experienced some of the problems others have that have written reviews...I work at an elementary school, and use these mics in our productions. If you can put one of these on a kid and it hold up for over two years...I think we are doing well!!! The sound quality is good, and I've made my sound technician a happy man.

This is the second one of these I've bought in 3 yrs. The 1st one I got was a piece of junk, but was already too far from the store as I was going across country. I've been with shure for over 20 years and have several sm 58's & 57's and they are the best. I assumed this had to be a fluke so this week I bought another one. I've tried the old one in every live situation I can think of. The new one does the very same thing. All midrange squeal and feedback at any level and e.q. setting. Shure needs to remove these things from their product line for good. They have too strong a reputation to be selling this trash.

I've had the system for about 3 years now and it works great. The mic is TINY and easy to hide for on camera interviews etc. It has great sound and have not had any problems with interference. Would buy again. I also bought the instrument cable for using the system with a bass and that works great too.

I purchased two of these 11 months ago and have had good success with them, but one of them went out 3 weeks ago, and the other unit bit the dust last weekend. These unites are not very robust and I am looking to replace them now and will NOT repurchase these units.
