I order this mic and it arrived within the week. Much faster than I was told, we had it in time for Christmas and it was invaluable making our children's program heard without stringing a wire all over the place. I think this will be a great investment for our church.

I am a Professional, Multi time per week gigging musician and let me tell you that my Shure Wireless System Works Great! My wireless Digital System has Never had a Issue. Rechargeable batteries work great in this mike and last 2-3 times as long as normal batteries. Any issues with bad reception or drop outs can be quickly and easily fixed by letting the system scan and auto select the best frequency for that venue. I have only had to change the frequency 3-4 times out of all the hundreds of gigs this system has been used at both inside and outside. I love it and use the Shure SM58s both regular and wireless every time we play . Buy Shure, ya can't go wrong!

I bought two of these to replace some old sennheiser units at church and I must admit they sounded great; better than the sennheisers's. But I noticed drop outs right from the beginning. I talked to Shure on several different occasions and they suggested perhaps the "smart power meters" the powewr company uses were causing the drop outs. I talked to the power company and they are definitely not the problem. The units simply dropped out, at random, no matter what I did. I have an ee background and years of experience; nothing I tried improved the drop outs. I have never had a drop out problem with any of the 5 sennheisers (uhf) we currently use.
I have returned the Shure's and got the AKG DMS 70 Quattro; no issues so far.
I can only conclude that there is some design issue as both units dropped out the same. Please note that this problem happened well within the range stated by Shure and with absolute line of sight at all times.
