This monitor system offers excellent quality of sound. I was amazed when I first connected it up to my sound system and played some pre- recorded music through it. The bass was great. A lot better than I had anticipated and the mids and highs were superb also. The only problem that I have encountered is that when I'm wearing the system and performing with the band, I can't hear a thing when someone talks to me between songs. It really blocks out all other noise. The unit was very easy to get up and running and I love the mix mode where I can put the instruments a little louder in one ear and the vocals a little louder in the other ear. A very well constructed unit and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to really concentrate on their sound quality.
Without a doubt this system out-performs all others by leaps and bounds. Its ease of use adapts effortlessly to any scenario, whether you're playing in a band, in the recording studio or especially when playing live. Its reliability will astound you time and again giving you the peace of mind you need when performing or rehearsing.
What a great unit, I play in a loud rock band and not only did my ears ring every night, but I couldn't hear my vocal or guitar solos.with the in ear system I hear everything perfectly, and My voice and ears feel no pain.
I use the PSM 600 in a church situation. It's not quite typical, considering we have over 20 members in the band. being the drummer, it is crucial that i hear the main rythym section. I don't necessarily need the horns or flutes (no offense woodwinds!) It isolates all outside noise incredibly. It produces every piece of the band i need very well. If you wanna hear what you doing, and even improve your playing, move to shure in-ear monitors. They're Great!!
