We all know the quality and value of an SM57, but what surprised me was the too cool t-shirt. When I needed a couple more 57's, and after confirming the going price, I decided to order this deal (w/t-shirt). I only got one, and as soon as the mic and shirt came in, was so pleased I immediately ordered a second. Mic is real deal and t-shirt is way cool, jump on it.
I bought this microphone and use it to record and mic the snare and hit-hats in both studio and live environments. The snare has a punchy crack sound as it should. The hi-hats are clear and crisp. The clarity and accurate reproduction just blew me away. I guess there is a reason that it the worlds most popular instrument mic. Everything that this mic touches it turns to gold. I have used this mic for recording vocals as well it has an incredibly defined sound with clean highs, slightly scooped mids and slightly cut off lows; perfect for the application. It also really shines in micing guitar cabs and has very accurate reproduction of sound. It has been dropped countless times and has not suffered in any way. I can't even see any noticeable scratches.I play guitar bass and drums and have had experience using the mic with these instruments.
