I normally don't bother to review things, but I had to comment on this mic. We've been playing live for years, and our singer has used most of the popular mics around. It was time to invest in a high quality wireless mic and decided on this one. We played our first show with it yesterday, and the whole band was blown away by the clarity of her voice over the rest of the mix. If we had known that a microphone could make that much of a difference, we would have gotten this years ago! I was also skeptical about whether a wireless mic could provide the same signal quality as a wired mic, but this mic proves that it can be done. It's pretty pricey, but so are Steinway pianos and Taylor guitars... if you want to get the most out your talents, investing in quality gear will make you sound a lot better, period. If you can afford it, go for it. If not, consider your need for a wireless mic and think about getting the wired Beta 87A.

I have used the Beta 87 ULXS system for two years now and it blows away even other shure systems. Quality and clarity are unsurpassed. I recently worked for a "Nashville Recording Artist" who insisted on using his SM58 on stage because of its warmth and balls. I put it beside my four Beta 87s and no amount of high frequency compensation could get this guy out in front of the others. Halfway through the show we swapped him out for the Beta 87 and all of a sudden he jumped out in the mix. Even Beta 58s pale in comparison. The only issues I have with the ULX system is that it is pretty picky about line of sight and proximity to other digital gear. If you buy this setup, get a separate small rack for the receivers and set it on top of your other fex rack.

I've been a sound engineer for live music for 25 years now. I was used to using ULX-Beta58 for vocalists, but they are always asking me to get the better mics with smoother, richer, and more clear vocal sound on live concert. Then, I was thinking only one mics can handle it all and it was ULXS24-Beta87A. But it was more than $1200.00ea. and we could not afford it. BUT, I found it at here for a lot less. What a awesome deal it is! So, we bought 5 sets of this mic. No explains needed. I will give 3 words for this mic," Smooth, Rich, Crystal-Clear!!!" Ooops... 4 words.

I am a CCM(Contemporary Christian Music) leader for 14 years. I have used several high-end wired/wireless mics for live worship. But they were not good enough. So, I was looking for other wireless mics which can reproduce smooth, clear, and rich voice to let the audience listen my voice clearly. Finally, this Shure ULX24Beta87A wireless Mic totally solved my problem. It is such a great mic. I also have wired Beta 87A. But this wireless one is even better than wired in voice quality. Also, the bettary consumption is amazing. I can use this mic with one new bettery for 8hrs a day for 4days. If you try this mic, you will realize much more than I said.

I have been using this mic for about a year now in live application. I have used it on our PA and also on many house PA's at gigs we have played. Each and every gig with a house PA I had to pull out my wired mic because this mic could not be brought up enough without feeding back. Every show I played on our PA the crowd always commented they can't hear the vocals. I have tried everything because the mic definately sounds great but you just can't hear it. Latest review was I went to audition for another band and they called me back and asked me to come back. They had a guy come down the night after and said he was really loud, but when I auditioned they couldn't hear me so they wanted me to come back. Just another tale of the great sounding investment no one can hear. P.S. I went back with my wired Sennheiser and got the job.

I'm touring right now, and I wanted to help someone out, so I dropped by to let you guys know that I have used this mic, and it was good when I was only supposed to be a good performer. When I was expected to be a GREAT performer I got a Neumann. If you're looking for the absolute BEST mic there is...NOTHING will beat the Neumann KK104/105! Nothing. It's what every major performer uses. Mary J. Blige, Elton John, Beyonce Knowles, Alicia Keys, ect...However, it's quite expensive. If you can afford to spend $1000-$2000 on a mic system, buy a Neumann. You won't be disappointed. Nothing sounds better.**If you want the Neumann sound, but can't afford the wireless...get the KMS105. It's about $600. DON'T THINK ABOUT IT! DO IT!

I sing in a gospel quartet and we tried several different mics wired and wireless. The Beta 87a wireless was recommended and the fact that there was a waiting period to get it should have told me it was a great mic. it has great features super clarity and selectable channels so you won't interfear with tv stations radio ect. You can spend less money and sacrifice quality or spend more thinking you can get a better sound but this mic is as good as it gets. No question!

After purchasing a couple of mics to fit the sound of my sexy tenor voice, I realized that just any ol' mic will not do. I scrolled and read all the comments regarding this beta 87a and was inspired 2 give it a go. This wireless configuration is like fine wine with quality unmatched. I can now b sexy and confident n more ways than 1. This all around sound mic does this 4 me.

Never have I been happier with a wireless system than I am with this one. Clarity is unbelievable. Could not believe the quality of the sound that comes out of this system. Definitely recommend for any one who is a serious preformer.
